He would've had a disastrous season last year if he played. Playing out of position in a 4-3 and on a defense that would've had him wheezing trying to run up and down the field with the yards per play we gave up.

like i said when he opt'd out. His film doesnt show enough to be able to be a high draft pick. He will be drafted solely on potential

Cause you don’t know how to watch film

He had an excellent 2019

He’s not going to be a high pick because DTs like him are losing value across the league

Yeah Dexter Lawrence is the only guy like Shelvin who's gone in the 1st recently.

It was a lazy choice by a guy with an unfortunate reputation as being a lazy player. I could see him get picked as high as the late 2nd round or drop a low as the 5th. It’s a shame because if he had come back and played well he could have made himself a top 50 pick. Now he will be viewed as just another 2 down interior DL with weight issues. I hope he comes in tomorrow and weighs in the 330’s but I have a feeling he will be closer to 350.

I know he had weight concerns his first year on campus, but he worked his tail off in game action in 2019. He was a vital part of that defense.
Film don’t lie, and it says he was a consistently good run defender.

I think he always has and always would be a mid-late 3rd round pick.
He is elite against the run but not much of a pass rusher. He can have a nice, long NFL career being a run stuffer.
