Any regular Rainbow Six Siege players?

I'm on PC Steam/Uplay (kaMMakaZZi9). Just been grinding the Battle Pass since it came out and using my boosters to get to 50K renown for the Thermal Antipodes seasonal weapon skin bundle. At 40K right now (started at 14K a couple weeks ago).

I have never touched ranked.. 
Currently I'm just playing mostly Quick Match for quicker renown gains but usually play Unranked. I use my mic and always get on cams when I die. I can do really well sometimes and really poorly others..
I find myself playing Rook a LOT on defense and Dokkaebi/Finka on Attack.
I have 227 hours on this game. It's basically the Rocket League of FPS.

I remember trying to get into it about a year after launch. Like any game you are a noob in, you visit Reddit and the official forums for tips.
Talk about a toxic community. Holy shtt, one of the worse I've ever seen for newcomers. IDK if it improved, but certainly turned me away.

I never jumped in, maybe a few minutes to see what it is about, but that is it.

Tough game, I hate the interface for getting the game started but the game itself is cool. All I want to do now is play with bots on custom games to build my skill on it and I can’t frickin figure it out, when I go to training grounds it prechooses all my settings and shite, and it’s just me against like frickin 29 terrorists, it pisses me off

I play every weekend with a couple friends on Xbox but its been bad lately for console. MnK has made ranked extremely hard. Gold or higher is like 33% MnK. I used to finish seasons high gold now mid-silver is where my friends and I are stuck at. Fun but extremely toxic game.

My problem with R6 is that I goes balls deep in it. A few games here and there doesn’t do me (or you guys) any favors. I grinded hard in season 4 and started to get 1.2-3 KD games before my group stopped playing. I’ve barely touched it since.

I hardly play the game, but when a new season/operator drops I stay interested for a few weeks until I drop it entirely for just Overwatch again, all the while still playing OW while dabbling in Siege.

I was plat last season--that is basically my ceiling. Every now and then when I actually start playing good the game will throw me against a team of actual good players and remind me that I'm just a little bitch.

I used to play back in the launch/season 1 window. I could routinely get a decent squad of people on and it was a blast
I kept getting all the new operators up through now, but I’m so far behind the meta that I get cold sweats anytime I try to do a quick match. It’s amazing how much the game has changed since inception.

I was developing decently but my issue was the transition from controller to K&M which I figured out on PUBG and getting my sens fixed. The people I originally played R6 with were better than me so I quit despite me really improving (There was a reason). I love the game but I stopped playing it almost 2 years ago because of that because I got pissed at that group.
My problem wasn't the game, it was getting consistent on shooters because I only played sports games prior to that. The ace in that group literally told me that my call-outs were why he still gamed with me. I would love to get back into the game but I'll have to re-learn everything.

Yeah my squad and I are looking for a fifth. We’ve been diving into ESO lately but hop on R6 from time to time. We were playing it heavy for about a month or so. We usually just stick to quick play because my buddy was having crashing issues
