Genius TV Executives Strike Again

For the first time that I can remember, I'm skipping a men's Elite Eight game. 9 PM start on a Monday? 10 PM on the East Coast? Are you out of your fricking mind? Ain't no way I'm staying up until 11:30 on a weeknight for Baylor/Arkansas when I gotta be up before sunrise tomorrow. I know I'm not the only one by a mile.

Yeah, Dan Wetzel from Yahoo (who I think is one of the few good writers there) said they did well with this reschedule. It was fine for the weekend, but nobody wants to watch these games late on a Monday and Tuesday. I tuned out the first one when it went south (I know Oregon State made it interesting), but I am skipping out on this one. And I'm only staying up tomorrow night because it's Michigan.

I’m looking forward to heading to bed at halftime, and falling asleep while watching the second half.
I just wish Jim Nantz would announce the score more often as I’m dozing off so I don’t have to turn on closed captioning.

Ehhh, they basically flip flopped the schedule. Sweet 16 has always been weeknights, with the elite 8 on the weekends. Only difference is the Friday night game. But, Friday night is traditionally bad for ratings, so it’s probably a wash in terms of total viewership.
