Too bad you aren’t even mildly entertaining. But maybe it’s because I was raised not to laugh at handicapped people.

Only if you get it on your person.

This thread is lengthly and repetative.

If you want to vote in this counrty, you need a photo I.D.. IF you cannot provide one, sorry.

You've presented some good points on here and others have provided some good rebuttal.

It has been made to easy for people to operate without an I.D. in this country.

Isn’t proof of citizenship required to even register to vote? Doesn’t that mean a birth certificate or social security card? Also didn’t democrats push the motor voting laws? You know registering while getting a fricking drivers license.

As an aside, the Horn is correct about the 33% figure. I am willing to assume that you simply made an error, rather than making a major (and insulting) affirmative misrepresentation.

Nope wasn’t an error at all, just used numbers from the federal government.

I love that you think it’s racist of me to point out the high number of AAs on Snap but it’s not racist of you to state that a massive number of African Americans can’t obtain an ID (yet you admit that they can get the forms of identification required to obtain Snap, ie birth certificate and pay stub). Oh how the liberal mind works

Usually just in the form of an unsworn affirmation by the potential voter.

So my supposed “major, and insulting, affirmative misrepresentation” had nothing to do with race? Because you’re accusing me of insulting a race by pouting out pretty widely known statistics.

The same study found that among the poorest Americans (under $25k per year) Blacks are approximately twice as likely as Whites to lack either a driver license of passport (the most common forms of photo ID).

Well, this is a shock. Your proof is from a leftist organization that says:

Project Vote’s mission is to build an electorate that accurately represents the diversity of this nation’s citizenry, and to ensure that every eligible citizen can register, vote, and cast a ballot that counts.

In recent years, Project Vote has mostly focused on improving voter registration. Our goals are to:

• eliminate disparities in registration rates between minorities and majorities;
• see state governments play a leading role in registering Americans to vote; and,
• ensure that constituency-based organizations can run effective voter registration drives.

ProjectVote

Yeah, that's a reliable source of facts. Good Lord. This is like believing "facts" from china when they say they have no human rights violations. My point stands even stronger. Thanks.

Ah, so you are one of the snowflakes who sees “racism” in anything that offends you or that you find unpleasant.

Good to know.

1. “Your Proof.” It is the data I found which addresses the issue. If you have contradictory data, feel free to present it.

2. You see “Leftist” in a desire to have the electorate reflect the citizen population of the country and to “ensure that every eligible citizen can register, vote, and cast a ballot.” Can we infer that you instead prefer an electorate skewed to your preferred demographic and a system which affirmatively seeks to deny the franchise to the untermenschen, as you define them?

Just “wow.”

Good Lord, you are clearly bright enough to understand that the Dem proposition is NOT that NO Blacks can obtain a government ID, but rather that a larger percentage of Blacks than Whites lack the opportunity to do so.

This sort of thread is mildly entertaining, but substantively it misses the mark completely. Those on the margins of society do not DO most of the listed activities..

Holy shite this is racist. Do you have data to back up your fricking shitty arse claim?

Water isn’t wet. Water makes stuff wet. To be able to be wet, one must be able to be dried off.

Can you dry off water? Nope.

Propane hank is wrong again

How can you register to vote but cant get any sort of identification?

Is this specifically targeting the homeless population? Because you need ID to rent or purchase a home.

Let’s deconstruct this post.

First, it is not MY position. As clearly stated, it is a recitation of the “Dem proposition,” which differs from the narrative implied in the OP.

Second, what is “racist” in the Dem proposition that economic factors tend to limit access to a current, valid photo ID for Blacks in numbers disproportionate to Whites, especially when the data confirms that Blacks DO have such IDs in numbers proportionately-less than Whites?

In most states, you register to vote by signing an unsworn declaration that you are (1) a citizen and (2) not less than 18 years of age.

We are aware. The only position that propane hank has is that you should cook using propane and not charcoal so you can taste the meat, not the heat, I’ll tell you hwhat.

Is thatherton behind this?

And people totally wouldn’t like, lie, about that right?

I mean, surely we shouldn’t check and make sure people are who they say they are, right?

Economic factors don’t limit anything, analysis of the data may show a correlation between being poor/being black/not having a photo id, but those factors haven’t been proven to cause it or limit blacks fro getting an ID.
One could as easily argue that listening to rap music limits people’s ability to obtain ID, it’s pretty obvious fans of rap music are more likely not to have an ID than those who dislike it.

Meat should ideally be cooked with seasoned firewood (primarily oak) on a smoker with an offset firebox. When time is short, propane constitutes a marginally-acceptable expedient.
