I have no reason to believe that the percentage of AAs on food stamps — HALF of whom are younger than 18 and therefore are not germane to the proposition that one-quarter of VOTING-AGE blacks lack ID —has grown from one-quarter to one-third in 14 years.

Then they shouldn't need an ID to purchase a gun either. They probably need more protection from crime than white folks.

It's about proportions. The same thing conservatives bring up when you want to talk about representation in violent crimes yet you conveniently leave it out this time.

Why is it always the case that voter laws that get passed specifically target the ways and areas in which black people vote?

The issue with access to forms of voter ID are specifically about barriers that can prevent poor people in urban areas. Things such as DMV access, wait times at said DMV, paying the fees needed for certain documents, having time allotted to go through the process. These are all easier for people not in the low income bracket.

Black people cant wait at the DMV like the rest of us? Why is that? And an ID is $11. Most major urban areas have many different DMV locations, also open on the weekend and online.
