Michigan had some things going tonight that they didn’t do all season.

LSU has some issues, don’t get me wrong. But there is only so much you can do when the other team is having a career night.
First off for starters, Michigan tonight had statically there 2nd best offensive game. They were never really a high scoring team. And they never really shot this consistently over the season. The pace they were able to withstand was incredible, as they had not done that all season pretty much.
2nd off, Michigan had to have 2 guys have career games.
Eli brooks season high was 17 prior to tonight. He had 21 tonight, and set a career high in threes made.
Chandee Brown avged about 5 points on the season and went 1-7 in the last 2 games combined. He so happenly drop 21 and had a career best shooting 3s and points scored.
This type stuff does not happen every night.
Michigan needed a lot of stuff to go there way and then some to win this game let alone the refs. If they play a 7 game series I say LSU wins 4-2, because I believe they are the better team, just not tonight.
That’s my take, i will hang up and listen.

The difference was Michigan having a big man that can score and move. We had to collapse on him and it left people wide open.

In a 5 game series Michigan probably wins 3. The big men and lack therefore for LSU make a difference.

We seem to always be on the receiving end of random roll players coming off the bench and lighting it up from 3 but I honestly can’t remember the last time something like that happened in our favor.

A lesson we learned after Florida.
We had to hope they would miss. The bigs would have killed us at the goal if we played them 1 on 1.

LSU isn’t known for their defense so this makes sense

Yes that is a key element. But he was held to his season average and was not the reason Michigan won.
Those people making those shots had career nights. As they don’t do that every night.
LSU is not the only team that has struggled trying to guard Dickenson.

That is because of the way Will Wade has his teams play defense. They play that stupid zone/help defense where the whole team flocks to the ball. Swing it around and people are wide open for 3’s. Wade has made great improvements to the program. But their defense is frustrating as hell to watch and they make every opponent look like the 2017 Golden State Warriors.

Our defense is so bad that opposing players always have career games against us. It’s honestly probably in the game plan. Remember playing MSU in the sweet sixteen two years ago? The plan was to leave a certain poor three shooter open and he destroyed us. We have got to get better at defense.

Our defense obviously hasn't been great all season, but it kept Dickinson and Wagner relatively quiet.
Brown having a career night, and Brooks having a season high absolutely contributed. Those guys play to their averages, we win, despite the ref bullshite.

We doubled and tripled their bigs and left their guards open for easy shots. It’s what a good team does. They can win in multiple ways

Please tell me how we should have guarded their 7’1 All American center? Days would have fouled out in 10 minutes of play trying to play him straight up. Watford was trying but not big enough to handle him.

It happened On Saturday when Hyatt went off

Exactly. That’s my whole point.
Michigan did things they haven’t done all season. It was pretty impressive that we still probably still shoulda won that game.

Every team has unusually good offensive games against LSU. It’s not a fluke, LSU’s defense is horrible.

They play everyone like this. You mustn’t be paying attention if you can’t see that every team they’ve played under Wade is constantly wide open for 3’s.

That’s because we have poor defense. At times it’s ok, but leaving people open throughout the game hurts you...just like not making free throws, and Cam Thomas not getting a call under the goal all game.
