It looks like PM put some more bats in the lineup. It also looks like he still hates Arnold.

In particular, how did Labas look?

How did Gio look, he seemed way off from a timing standpoint at the plate yesterday.

Drost went yard? How did he look at the plate.

Cranford make some plays at 2nd? How did he look with the bat?

Got one of three from the #3 team in the country. Not great. Not terrible.

Hit the ball hard a couple times and had one of LSU’s hits. He didn’t look good bunting the ball and popped out on a hit and run. He played well in the field as usual.

Drost struck out twice and appeared to be going for a 3rd when he homered.

I missed it unfortunately but its promising that it seems we were at least able to hit their Sunday guys. We're going to be in pitchers duels every Friday and Saturday this year and it'll come down to a few timely hits and lucky walks. Gotta be able to manufacture runs out of leadoff walks like state did this weekend. That will tilt a lot of games in conference play this season. No more leaving a runner on 3rd with no outs

Got hit by a pitch and I think it hurt him. Sanford came in for him and got 2 hits.

Two strikeouts other than the home run

Labas kept them off balance. Gio got hurt again on a pitch that hit his knee. Cranford made about 4 or 5 plays. One was to start a good looking double play. Drost ran into their worst pitcher in a terrible 1-2 pitch. Did a good job taking advantage but he struggled before then. So did Travinski. Crews batted 3rd and Morgan lead off. We scored 2 in the first without a hit because of the pressure Morgan can cause at the top. Floyd looked great till he walked a guy. Fontenot closed.

I liked the lineup.

The younger guys didn't quit. Could have easily after the first two games of this series. They have grit, will only improve.

Jobu showed us praise at the plate...Sanford was 2 for 2 with a Dbl, drost hit a 2 run bomb and dugas got a jack also...Morgan hit better...labas did good...

We crossed that hump and got a win...first time for almost all of these kids

I missed it, too. First miss of the year. Checked in periodically on the score and stats. Very encouraging outing from Labas and Fontenot. We were really a swing or 2 from taking 2/3, and I could really argue not far from taking all 3. Get used to that in the SEC this year, and really any year - you're going to be on the short end sometimes, but preventing a sweep, especially at home, is huge. Hope to steal a few in Knoxville next weekend.

All of this.
It’s encouraging that they continued to fight after State tied the game at 2 and it appeared their pitcher was untouchable.
It’s important to remember that almost our entire team is still learning to play winning baseball in the SEC.

Oddly enough we were only a walk or 2 away. The SEC is gonna be wild this year

He was limping for fun?

I'm not calling it a injury where he has to miss games. But that ball that hit right above his knee affected him.

Besides the line drive double play, what else did he do?
