You know who has run faster? 76 high-school boys in the US in 2019.

There's nothing fair about letting men compete against women in sports, and there's nothing equal about the "Equality" Act.

And that was just HS boys in the US in 1 year. Think about the rest of the world. You know Jamaica's probably got at least 50 of their own each year.

I tested the waters to see if what caused you to want to murder people would be the same as what would make me want to murder people.
It's the same.

There's nothing patriotic about the Patriot Act.

There's nothing affordable about the Affordable Care Act.

I'm beginning to notice a pattern.

Exactly, over the 30 ish years since Flo Jo set that record, you've had quite literally thousands (perhaps over 10 thousand) high school males across the world run faster times.

Much respect to Flo Jo, high schoolers out running her doesn't diminish her amazing records. But she wouldn't even be mentioned if we started letting men compete against women.

How this is even a conversation blows my mind.

frick this gay earth.

And Flo-Jo was roided to the gills when she did it, that's why other women haven't come close to breaking her records.

At it’s core, “transgenderism” is a depraved assault on femininity. It boggles my mind how any self-proclaimed feminist can support such a female-hating ideology.

The problem in this debate is that the definition of "fair" is inherently subjective.

Cotton seems to think (and I agree) that it is perfectly-reasonable to hold athletic competitions between groups of people who share (basically) the same physical traits and to provide "fair" competition within groups sharing those similar traits. Sometimes that trait is genetic sex. Sometimes it is age. Sometimes it is weight (e.g. boxing). All very objective criteria.

TG-sport activists measure "fairness" differently, in that they are willing to ignore those basic objective physical traits and group competitors based upon a different (and certainly more subjective) criteria, such as how one perceives oneself.

Neither approach is objectively "right" or objectively more "fair," but the former approach is certainly easier to police AND (IMHO) more logical.

One of the biggest arguments I've seen from those in support of trans athletes in women's sports is that HRT lowers muscle mass.

This is first of all flawed, and to put simply even if it somehow did lower muscle mass, there is an organ that greatly differs and can affect physical performance. Male lungs are significantly larger and can handle a higher volume than a female. In addition to larger lungs, males also have larger hearts. females have a higher heart rate than males by nearly 10beats/minute more.

Males by the work of biology are built to handle a higher stress load, heavier physical activity, and females have a higher muscle elasticity, are less fatigue pron, and recover faster.

How they identify should be a non-argument.

I have to deal with this as part of my profession.

The arguments of hormone and testosterone levels just keep coming and that some men are smaller than women, etc.

As you can see from the comments, even this logical argument doesn't move them off. They simply want to argue.

We are talking a very small number of people. If it doesn't matter and you want to be gender neutral, then race with the boys.

I just can't believe more women that fought so hard for equality don't have a problem with this.

The whole issue is insane.

We segregate by biological sex in sports unlike other areas of life exactly because of differences between the sexes.

This isnt about opportunity for a small sliver of conflicted boys who think they are girls. This is about disenfranchising the entire entity of girls sports for the sake of the above.
