Completely free healthcare alone is almost worth it. I work with a guy whose father retired at 55 from UPS and did very well for his family.

I'm guessing there is room for both Amazon and UPS?

Lmao I’m not lazy my guy. Those people try to ride my arse to do all the lazy peoples work. Management is full of lazy fricking idiots that only promote their friends and it’s becoming a racist cesspool.

The healthcare is awesome. I just think it’s the city I work in. I’m surprised the Montgomery hub is still functional.

Doug Heffernan worked his whole career at IPS which we all know is factually based on UPS and did very well for himself. Sure, you'll get your occasional O'boyles giving you a hard time but it's really about the friends you make along the way.

Little known fact: Doug holds the current record for most consecutive incident free days at IPS which is also the UPS record.

But if you do start working for UPS, make sure you wear your brown pants.

My buddy is a UPS driver, his wife is a CRNA for Ochsner. They use his UPS benefits because it's 10x's better...

I’ve been there for 4 and a half years and a lot of really good people have retired of a certain race because they can see what is happening.

I had a coworker threaten to beat the head manager of preload up right in front of me and he was fired by the said manager.

Multiple witnesses lied about what my coworker said to try and protect him. The head manager had to ask me for a written letter of everything said and it barely saved him from getting fired for “racial discrimination” . But only for a few months.

He still got forced out at the beginning of this week. And now a man of the other race has taken his place. Every person in upper management is now of the same race.

But it’s about equality.... lmao frick Montgomery al

I worked there one summer during college as a second job. My biggest complaints were union capping the hours with the schedule....no way to get more when you're new. May have changed since then...that was around 03-04. Kept my evening gig and worked days at UPS since I didn't have classes.

Other part was obviously sweating like a dog in those trailers. Hot as frick in there loading. Great workout for sure, but it's no old man's game.

I believe things have changed since then, but to get on as a driver or some of the other better FT jobs they have there you've got to put your time in on load or small sort for 5-6+ yrs. IIRC our shifts were all 4 hrs, 5 days a week. I did morning shift. Just no way to do that without a second job if you're someone trying to buy a house, support a family, whatever. If you're a college kid like I was then it makes a lot of sense, but they still didn't pay much back then. I wanna say it was like $8-10/hr.

Well isn’t it seniority based? And it is unionized so the laziness has no bounds!!
