Shreveport double homicide on Clanton Street

This is a street so dangerous the USPS quit delivering to it.

Earlier this week we had the rare hat trick, three separate shootings in an evening.

The incident occurred at separate locations in the 1400 block of Clanton Street.
Officials say two people between the ages of 15-23 were shot. One victim was pronounced dead on the scene, while the other victim was pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital.

I dropped off some recycling at the old drop-off site one morning and decided to take the not so scenic route from there to work. When I saw the sign for Clanton Street, I knew I had fricked up. Scared the hell out of me.

I have been trying to keep up with the bodycount as of Jan 1. This will be a record year. I might be +/- 1 but I am at 25 with this double and the single this morning.
At 33% of last years total and its barely mid March. It will really crank up when it hits 100 outside, hot and drunk, uncle charles feels played at the bones table and starts slinging lead.

I saw 21 earlier today, but that may not have included today’s count. Either way, we’re 10 weeks into the year, so we’ve still got a long way to go. I don’t even want to pass through these neighborhoods anymore, which sucks because some of the whitest establishments in the Port (Jacquelyn’s, Monjuni’s, Mabry House, etc) are in the hood.

So, they're still searching for answers in S'ports hoods after 40 years. After blaming everyone else, some genius will finally realize it's an internal job. At this rate, might be another century.
