Let's rank our priorities for the draft. The #'s aren't referring to rounds but order in which we need a player at that position.
1. QB
2. CB
3. WR
4. S
5. TE
5. DE
6. DT
7. LB
8. RB
9. OT
10. OG/C

6. DT
7. LB
8. RB
9. OT
10. OG/C

How so? We have immediate needs and any O-Lineman taken would be a pick for the future assuming we don't re-sign Armstead or trade Peat.

S should be much lower.
OL should be much higher.

Thanks for explaining your position

You know what you have in Ram and McCoy. Armstead too but he’s injury prone. Peat is inconsistent as frick and Ruiz is still an unknown. But he has potential. OL should be higher.
You can never have enough quality OL and you need a good line to be competitive in this league. Look what happened when Kansas City lost their two tackles.

I think we sign veteran O line help and draft some bodies in the late rounds...This draft should be reserved for low cost defensive replacements but Im sure Sean will pick up a new toy early on

Couldn’t the same be said for safety, but you have it 4th above DT, DE & LBer where there are current holes

Corner will be the biggest need in my opinion if Jenkins doesn’t resign back but either way he’s over 30 donuts a need. Hope we can get joe Horns son.
We just spend high draft capital on linebacker last year and te. Think we need a vet te to go with Trautman and a vet at linebacker. Those should come pretty cheap. I’d draft dt and guard/center with those 2nd and 3rd round picks.

Cb has to be #1.
They have to pick someone up in free agency

Since we won’t be able to get one of the top QB at 28 and we can’t move up as we need all the picks we can get to add cheap talent to the roster now I’d say our top needs for the draft would be CB, LB, DL, TE, OL, WR in that order. I believe we are just fine with our WR on roster but we really could use some youth injected at corner and LB. I’m not sold on Baun as a 4-3 LB and we need some new blood for depth on the DL and OL. A TE would be good too but I see us either bringing Josh Hill back at the minimum or finding a vet to backup Trautman. My dream draft scenario right now would be
Rd 1: Jaycee Horn CB South Carolina
Rd 2: Jabrill Cox WLB LSU
Rd 3: Patrick Jones II DE Pitt
Rd 3: Aaron Robinson CB UCF
Rd 4: Walker Little OT Stanford

Wasn’t he a projected first round pick before the season?? Is he really being mocked in the middle rounds now?

quote:Not QB. Any QB we pick at 28 will be a wasted pick because all of the good ones will be gone. Every time we pick a QB in the draft it turns in to a wasted pick.
1. QB

We need a vet TE not another rookie guys.
Online is set with young guys on the bench mixed with some vets.
DT is deep as it stands today.
RB seems the same as last year.
CB is #1 if they don't think Jenkins returns.
LB'er is #2 if they don't see a young guy on the bench stepping up for the #2 spot.
And 3rd is any one who can rush the passer.

Lol what? Right now we have Davis, Robertson and Baun. Baun barely played and is still probably a year away from starting because he’s learning to play off-ball. That’s the group you wanna roll with? Davis is a top 5 LB but he’s only one guy. It’s easily the weakest position other than TE.
I’d swap LB with QB for now. Everyone knows we need Jameis so it’s not even worth it to put up there. LB and CB are priorities then TE and DL (either DE or DT)

I could actually see them taking a CB in Round 2 and letting it be that guy and Robinson. Robinson is making $3.5M and he hasn’t been cut yet. So it stands to reason they’ll just throw him out there. He was capable on the outside last year.
I just don’t see them being comfortable with anyone at LB. I mean, Chase Hansen? Kaden Eliss? My god
