I think I'll have to go see Dr. Lou to push me over the edge of suicide after all of this drama.

Not sure how helpful it will be prematurely evacuating hundreds of thousands of people west into the teeth of the storm.

alot of people will be moving regardless of where it goes. baton rouge is right in the middle of all of it.

you can't have an extra 50-100 thousand people in baton rouge and pull this off. not to mention br will be the main staging area for emergency services if it hits anywhere on the la coast.

just mho on why this is a concern

All of the bus evac people will be
sent north to Monroe and Shreveport, not west

Gee, I don't know, the laughing figure he included in his post perhaps.

You missed my point. There are two different contraflow plans, one for southeast and one for southwest. The southeast plan sends evacuees west and north, the other east and north. Given the latest forecasts, which contraflow plan do they put in place?

That's why I say any decision today on contraflow is premature.

Most will either keep going west or go up I49. Most to the east will go up I55. So they are not just moving people west into the storm's path if it goes there, all these plans have traffice heading north.

If a decision is made today, which plan will they choose, the southwest or southeast contraflow plan?

Alright, just talked to my mom (works in parish president's office) she just said that a high ranking person said that all signs point to the game being moved to 12. we'll see what happens.

Several local radio stations are reporting that the LSU press conference at 10:00 am will announce either the game is cancelled or moved up to 2:00 pm Sat. For what that is worth.

Makes sense to move it up a few hrs if the alternative is possibly cancelling the whole thing.

I'm sure ESPN will bend over backwards, frontwards and sideways to accomodate LSU should the time need to be moved...bump some other game to "the Ocho" or something, make it a GamePlan game.
