Games 12:15 and 5:45 on Sat, 9:00 and 2:30 on Sunday. Not much time for the beach.
How do you know what time you play on Sunday? This must be some sort of round robin and not a USSSA tournament.....
Oh and those times suck, I'd request better times....I've never heard of having that much time between games.

not sure how he knows already, usssa, 2d, Pg dont even release times or lock tourney registration until like wednesday.
Personally our travel ball weekend was ok. My oldest played his first tourney this weekend in beaumont. My middle son has been playing a while. Oldest is not very good, but he had fun, they won a pool play game and the team that beat us in pool and bracket is full of his friends and they were real nice to him, so it worked out good.
I dont take it too serious, especially my oldest team. I work with them as much as they are willing to put in the work and I just try and value to the time we spend together or the time he gets to spend with his grandparents watching him play. Even if its a rough weekend performance wise, its still a great weekend so long as they enjoyed it.
My middle kid is a lot more serious about this kind of stuff. Tell you what though, having 2 in travel and one starting t-ball this year sucks for personal time. I think we only have 2 weekends where one is not playing until july 4th. This weekend we are playing 2d in broussard.

Boy made JV this year...no more stupid weekends wasted. Now a couple hours on a Tuesday and a Thursday evening within a 30 min drive is all I have to worry about.

me thinks this is just some sort of church softball tourney and not a sanctioned travel ball tourney

Different sport, and I don’t ‘know’ they’ll make the finals...but the schedule is out.

Gotcha...you talking about soccer??

My son’s going to be in 9th next year, and we won’t do this anymore.

Yup. Boy does football (workouts before school), track after...then soccer on a club.

They dont keep playing travel ball in HS in your area? In south LA, if your school is good anyways, you play travel summer ball with Knights or Team LA more than likely, then you do fall ball with them if not playing football.
Also start bullpen sessions in the fall.
baseball is year around at the good High Schools in Louisiana and most of Texas.

once you understand coding.
Will never happen. Controls (EE) is interesting though.

Two kids still play. Just about all of their games are league games now.

With coding? Why would you do that to them. You have no idea what the economy will be like 20 years from when they are born...I doubt coding will have the same importance as it does now...if it even does now.
Lulz. You can’t be fricking serious? Keep it MAGA, 100, brochacho.

I’m very damn far from a brochato, and you can see the future?
ETA: he doesn’t even have kids yet.

Another successful weekend. Took 1st in a 12 teamer.
Demoralizing teams that don't belong in travel ball is hilarious. Kids crying, dads yelling because we run the score up, etc. First pool play game was 23-0 in 3 innings.

We had 700 teams from around the country here in Houston this weekend. It’s was pretty nuts.

That’s how it’s done.
This weekend’s tournament will be interesting, they stacked one side of the bracket with the good teams, the other side with the nots...the two teams that make it out of my son’s side will likely meet in the finals to play for a second time in two days. Those are always tricky.
