Picking was slim today, but did get a major find for the price of free. I spent $36

Fire King $5

Le Creuset $2

Star Wars ice molds $5

DC Universe dolls $4

About 100 grams of Sterling $20

Lantern & clay jug - free

Exogen System - free

Complete, like new Kirby Sentria system - free

The guy was giving everything away, would not take a dime. He had a complete Empire nativity set sitting in the corner. He said a neighbor wanted them but if I came back in a couple hours and they were still there, I could have them. I went back, they were gone. The lady at the garage sale down the street got them. I went down and offered her $500 for it. Her husband threw a fit when she told me no.

It was like this one

That jug may be worth $$$ according to American Pickers.

And you are going to get banned for that up skirt photo.

I searched empire’s website and these things were a lot cheaper. That’s why I asked.

Funny thing is, I came across a smaller set (height wise) Thursday at an estate sale. They wanted $275. I offered $200, but they wouldn’t take it. It’s worth about $500

Those things are like gold to christmas hobbyists.

That kirby is an excellent find as well. They have a lifetime warranty. I use my kirby as an air compressor, leaf blower, and paint sprayer. Love it

Great finds!

the vintage ones are

I gave away a Kirby years ago. Couldn't sell it for anything and all I did was cuss the weight of it.

Le Creuset was a good buy. The fire king probably won't get much. The only saving grace may be that it is a super desirable color.

Yeah the vintage ones may be worth it but like I said, their website has them cheaper.

Do you ever find vintage clothes? I used to date a girl who worked at Time Warp Boutique and they were killing it on their finds. That opened my eyes to how rewarding the unexpected finds in estate sales and even thrift store hunts can be.

I love your posts theantiquetiger, but if I came home with the junk you did, my wife would kick my tail.

Looks like a bunch of cheap junk. Can’t imagine anyone paying $500 for that nativity set and the shipping would have been insane.

They tanked the value on those Fire King mixing bowls when they started reproducing certain FK pieces. They used to bring a really good price, and I've sold several. Also, my Mom has broken several of them. She finally just quit using them.

I still buy all the Fire King coffee cups I can find, mostly just the jade and white ones. Their value doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon. All my Pops would ever drink coffee out of was a FK cup, he preferred the restaurant cups. My Mom still has quite a good collection of FK dishes, including some fairly scarce pieces.

Back in the day SS would have included in that list, French tickler. So disappoint

I like people who think like you. Well, only in regards to "junk", not the rest of whatever warped crap you have going on.

I had to go restock my booth this morning with something Easter related that I think is super ugly and would never but for myself. But I sold out last Saturday and brought twice as many this morning.
