She also happens to be Kramer's mom.

I texted krob, he said no chance of this happening. Also fargas will not be fired, you can figure out why for yourself

Spending $700k on a WBB is insane relative to the ROI. It would be even more insane to spend MORE even if it produced better results. This isn't a sexist comment. I have nothing against WBB. But it is often the single largest money loss sport in a major conf. athletic dept.

If LSU wants to move on from her that is fine. It is probably justified. But they should hire a young up-and-coming coach for LESS than they pay Caldwell. If that coach turns out to be great then you can decide whether or not to increase her/his salary at that time or just let them walk and repeat the process.

We really need someone who is a strong recruiter (talent has been very down over the years) and someone with a more modern philosophy offensively.

Who are some candidates that would meet this criteria? I don’t follow WBB much so I’m not familiar with the up and coming coaches.

Bring back Van Chancellor. He at least threw candy to the student section during football games.

Program would be super dead at that point

Not sure right now, not an expert myself.

I guess I would look at some of the top assistant coaches at some of your bigger programs or look for a successful mid major who would fit well here and be able to recruit. I would stay away from all Summit disciples McCray over at Miss St is looking to crash a program faster than Holly Warlick.

In the future, I’d say to keep an eye on Amaka Agugua-Hamilton.

Yes, to Collis Temple, the first black player for LSU.

For an up and coming coach that you could probably get for a lot less is the Ole Miss coach. She has made them into a competitive program and got some great freshmen recruits that was the top ranked class in 19-20. This is at Ole Miss without half the resources LSU has. They've only won 4 conference games but they swept ranked Kentucky in 2 games this year, lost to UT by 1 point, took LSU to overtime. Nikki's entire problem is she does not recruit well, Yolette McPhee-McCuin is a rising star that you could get without breaking the bank and she will go get the recruits to rebuild.

She has recruited well and that may start to pay dividends next season but she hasn't actually won anything. She's 3 years in with 7 conference wins.
Also she makes 500K, so even if she was doing well she isn't coming got any cheaper than what we're paying now.

We are no longer considered a contender. That was tough to build.

The fact that she had the #1 ranked recruiting class in the conference at Ole Miss after the team went 0-fer in the conference the previous year, is pretty remarkable. They've lost a lot of close games but it's Ole Miss, they haven't been consistently competitive since Van Chancellor was there. She still convinced those girls to go there over South Carolina, TENN, A&M. Even if they pay her 550k...that's $200k less than we're wasting now while our program continues to be passed up.

She has a 32% winning percentage at another conference school. You can't sell that as an upgrade. Maybe it will be soon but can't sell it now.

If Ole Miss is willing to let her go without offering a 50K raise then that means they don't think she's good and we're doing them a favor. If they do want her then they'll match the bidding up to where the salary will be at least 700K.

Sorry, but tired of all the black warm-up shirts every game, with BLM on them! We're purple and gold with (Lady) Tigers as our mascot! Does LSU support a Marxist organization?

My first phone call is to Connecticut. Either get one of their assistants or ask their coach for a recommendation. He might tell us to go frick ourselves but he might not.

Chanda Rigby at Troy should be the first call we make. Deep Louisiana connections and consistent champions in the Sun Belt. Usually one of the top scoring and rebounding teams in the NCAA

People keep referencing the social climate, but she’s not going to be fired because we aren’t dishing out millions to buy her out. if the budget gets back to form we can explore the idea. For now there’s no way LSU dishes out that kind of money to fire fargas and make a splash hire.

Don't forget she's graduated 100% of her players that have stayed all four years just like her mentor Pat Summitt.
