Some of those examples aren't great.

1) The Saints scored a TD after Alex Smith's TD run. If any plays from that game were crushing it was the 2 passes to Vernon Davis on the last drive. Regardless the 2018 NFC PI crushed the Saints way more.

2) The Magic, despite Lebron's game winner in game 2, won that series in 2009 plus they won game 1 in Cleveland. Don't think you can say that killed a fan base.

3) Ray Allen's shot was certainly a death blow in that series, but the Spurs came back even harder the next year and demolished the Heat in the Finals. It was certainly crushing at the time, I know because I used to be a huge Spurs fan, but to immediately redeem themselves the next season took away a lot of that pain.

Out of all those examples, #6 is probably the best simply because Malone pissed that game away and it should have gone seven games. The Jazz had a real shot to win that series and they have done little to nothing since then.

It’s been different watching the Saints the last 2 seasons because of that PI no-call. It still makes me angry.

I was over the Minnesota miracle in a week

I agreee with your points. BUT, this isn't really about follow up seasons that made them feel better. Maybe I will change the Lebron one to the 2007 ECF vs the Pistons.

Jordan’s shot against the Cavs/Ehlo where he hung in the air for five minutes and then fist pumped.

It was a shocking way for the game to end but hard to explain if you aren’t a spurs fan, that team was just different. I mean I kinda knew it was over right there but those spurs teams could compartmentalize like no one. Game 7 was very intense and close until the last minute.

Also easier to take in hindsight since the spurs got their revenge the following season

2018 SEC Championship Alabama vs Georgia. A year removed from blowing a 2 score lead after Tua replaced Jalen, Georgia blows a 2 score lead after Jalen replaced Tua
