The Aaron Boone homer in game 7 of the 2003 ALCS.

Bill Simmons still talks about how he was working for Jimmy Kimmel’s show at the time and had to call in sick the next few days because he was so depressed.

However, that one isn’t as monumental as it could’ve been because
1) the Yanks lost the WS
2) the very next year the Red Sox mounted the 0-3 comeback in the ALCS and went on to win the WS.

Still one of the most beautiful home runs I’ve ever seen. Old Yankee Stadium went insane the second the ball jumped off the bat.

What have the Titans accomplished since that tackle short of the end zone at the end of the 1999 Super Bowl?

Not sure how the thread got this far without mentioning the Bluegrass Miracle.

That Ray Allen 3-

I was in miami that week. Best buddy lived down there for a spell and as in the export business.

Anyway, we are at the pink pony (strip club full of beautiful latino women) during that game. It was on the tv's scattered throughout the club but with no sound.

The last minute of the game they turn lights on, music off, and play the game with sound. Everyone is standing around watching including the "entertainment". They're just casually standing on the stage, naked, etc.

When Allen hit that shot, place goes nuts and strippers were jumping and screaming like crazy. A sight i'll never truly forget

Because that was just a shitty way to lose for Kentucky. They weren't in contention to win anything and that play didn't alter anyone's season or future trajectory. At least that's how I see what the OP is looking for.

Yankees fans went full Q-tard after this. A once proud fan base has resorted to conspiracy theories and smug posting

I remember being at Freds for the Yeldon TD. I dropped my beer on the ground, walked out the door, and went right home.

Saints were 7-6 and tied for the NFC West lead when they blew a 35-14 lead to the Raiders and lost 42-35 on MNF. Got blown out 35-0 the next week at game against the Chargers to be completely eliminated from playoff contention. Finished 8-8 by winning a meaningless game against the Rams, then went 1-15 the next year. I’d say that Raiders loss probably set the stage for 1-15 the next year and it also led to the end of Dick Nolan’s coaching tenure in NO.

From the same era, the ‘78 Miracle at the Meadowlands cost the Giants OC his job the next day, their head coach his job at the end of the season and led to Ray Perkins taking over with Bill Parcells and Bill Belichick on his staff in ‘79.
