Some quotes from an LA times article:

quote:

Law enforcement sources speaking to The Times on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak on the matter said Woods was traveling at a high rate of speed and lost control of the vehicle before crossing the center divider. Woods’ SUV rolled multiple times before coming to a halt.

quote:

“Because of the situation and the way that you found the vehicle, he wasn’t able to open the door and come out,” L.A. County Fire Department spokesman Henry Narvaez said. “We extricated him, we helped assist him out of the vehicle.”

The last quote seems like he wasn’t unconscious or anything

This will be the end of his competitive career most likely, he's already had multiple knee surgeries. Not even taking into account his back, terrible.

If they are "clean" enough breaks to fix, his legs will be pretty fine for golf.

If he compressed his spine or reinjured it in any way, he is likely done.

I live about 5 minutes from there. He was coming down a pretty good hill where lots of cars speed. Multiple helicopters around. Looks like he'll survive but with serious leg injuries.

Kind of a ridiculous thing to say without knowing any of his actual injuries

I mean Tiger is 45, has had a history of back and leg injuries, and is currently in surgery for multiple substantial leg injuries. Not that ridiculous of a thing to say.

Tiger Woods has "non life-threatening injuries," per a spokesman on LA's CBS affiliate just now.
