FIRST ALERT

Bad accident has all lanes blocked on U.S. 190 coming off the old MS River Bridge into Baton Rouge. Use the I-10 ('new') bridge if coming into Baton Rouge from the west.

A bridge with 2 tiny lanes barely big enough to hold compact cars. What could possibly go wrong?

18 wheelers driving in bumper to bumper 60mph traffic with no way to stop. Idiots on phones cutting in and out around those huge speeding trucks. What could go wrong?

JBE needs to focus on making the I-10 to I-12 corridor a priority and fixing the inherent and glaring problems of only having one lane to merge down to in the middle of the city on I-10, instead of smacking his lips and telling us how bad it is that people are catching covid. Frick the priorities of this man and this State.

Traffic will be better if enough people die.

Truth. Wasn’t all that bad last week with so many people at home. It sucked arse these last two mornings.

Make me King for a day and I would restrict anything over six wheels to a single lane (far left) within the city limits of BR unless entering or exiting the interstate and a speed limit for that lane of 55mph. With strict enforcement. Side by side trucks restricting traffic flow and constant wrecks caused by their excessive speeds could be fixed that easily.

Doesn't solve the idiot exit design from the bridge to I-10 but it would be a start.

That sucks.

Looks like that big rig crushed at least one car in front of it.

The man has greater concerns- maximizing his personal return on continued COVID/Freeze/Hurricane Disaster investment

What exactly happened? Seems like something that would have gone down with the ice issues, but it sucks regardless.

I’m stuck in this shite now. Took 190 to specifically avoid I-10. Now at a standstill trying to get to I-10.
