I'm at the Golden Nugget having dinner right now and it's been really busy here the last 2 days.

Wife and I went over the mardi gras weekend. Got in late Saturday and left early Wednesday. Strip was as dead as I've ever seen it...and I was there 2 weeks after 9/11. We stayed off strip this time at the Orleans. Highly recommend it for gambling/poker. Not so much for the room. But 4 free nights and free food is hard to beat so there's that

The MGM is insanely ratchet and ghetto right now. Especially on the weekends like another poster said.
Just had a friend there a few nights ago and there was a massive brawl right outside of his room. Talking 20-30 people.

Mgm was pretty bad pre-Covid.
I can’t imagine how bad it is now.

Supposed to go in the Spring...do you think things will be much different in late March/April?

Different as in less ghetto? Or the strip not being a ghost town?
Nothing will change in the next 2 months that will improve the clientele.
If you go during March madness the crowds will be larger than what they’ve been.
Democrat run state and city, so Covid precautions will still be in place.

I think things will be on the uptick by then. The shows, clubs and pools are all reopening mid March.

I hope it gets back to normal soon, I feel bad for the industry workers. Wife uncle is waiter at one of the Wynn steakhouses. He said even that is a shite show. I've been twice to strip since October, 2nd time was even worse.
Even Metro has said they are having a hard time. I known shooting happened at the adventure dome recently.
Like I said, I get hotels got to lower rates right now but damn.

Things should be trending in the right direction in late March/early April.
