I guess it’s time for South Carolina to take the lead, again.

Texas will experience the same variances in weather regardless of independence.

"The frick" is that Texans pay a shite ton of federal taxes and now they want some pay back when those dollars are needed.

Tell ya what, let us NOT pay any federal taxes, and then we will shut up. Cool?

Why? Because they’re dealing with a once in two lifetimes’ snowstorm?

Not only is it not out, I'm not paying $4/kwh for it either.

And this is the most OTBaller part of the state.

I think the OP is referencing the governor and congressional delegation requesting federal money.

If snow/ice was a regular occurrence in Texas, they'd have better infrastructure in place to deal with it. Wait until you realize how woefully ill prepared we are for Yellowstone to blow.

Power goes off during blizzards up north too, Einstein. Only difference, in Texas, it occurs once every 30 years, not 3 times a year.

Says the idiot who doesn't realize that this weather condition is an anomaly. Texas can handle this just fine.

Power hasn’t flickered once this winter. Probably have a foot of snow on the ground and been regularly experiencing windchills well below 0 for over 2 weeks here in IL. Texas isn’t built for this, but the Midwest handles it just fine.
