Similar to what a lot of the media narrative has been from what has been stated on the MSB as I understand it.

Zion comes in as this generational talent, biggest prospect since Lebron. So now we only ever compare him to Lebron and players of those ilk. I'm not saying I agree with this because I don't, but some folks think he is not going to be in that class and maybe not quite as good as we thought when we drafted him. That's not even the concern, if you feel that way, that's fine. I don't agree but I get why you do.

The issue is every single discussion/post/tweet about Zion now comes through that lens, which means every single discussion/post/tweet is essentially a negative on Zion. And then we completely ignore that the start to his career has been historical, one of the better or even best starts to a career we've ever seen.

I mean, even if you think he's not quite as good as you originally thought, you should still be able to be objective and talk about both sides and talk up all the good, because there's been a shite ton of good.

Basically wrote off the ability for Zion to improve as a player.

After 35 career games

Can’t shoot or pass and doesn’t hustle and never will blah blah blah

Now his ceiling is 5x all nba player Blake Griffin

Who anyone with realistic expectations comped him to to begin with

I still have no clue what he said but it must have been bad.

I just know it has been mentioned here, and I follow Mason Ginsberg, and he mentions he blocked him so it must have been bad.

Yes because we have the most of them.

Teams can only offer their own picks every other year so they're limited in how many 1sts they can add to a deal.

Other than OKC, we have more future 1sts than any other team out there.

And this is one of the examples I was thinking of when you all typed it out about Simmons not thinking through his logic or opinions.

Because fine, its fair at this point to say the return from the Lakers is less valuable today than when it happened, undeniably. The fourth pick became two guys that haven't shown they have a place in this league, and may never, and the Lakers don't look like they will be breaking up any time soon, so those picks look more like late firsts. HOWEVER, if Simmons just stopped and said, well, where does that ultimately put the Pels in terms of asset capital? Well the answer is still basically top 5 in the league.

Since we have all our firsts, we have the Bucks picks, we have the Lakers picks, and we have a mix of salary, all-star level, and young talent that can match or make an offer.

I mean if we want Beal, regardless of what people would prefer to give up or not, he's on this team the moment he becomes available. If we want him bad enough. The same goes for the next guys on the docket like KAT, Lavine, McCollum, Irving, Turner, hell, Giannis if it got to that.

I'm not saying the likely cost makes it the smart thing to do(someone like Giannis probably costs Ingram and Kira plus most of our picks), but the Pels have the inside track, maybe even above OKC because we do have someone like Ingram and Zion on the roster to maneuver(again, in a theoretical assessment of asset capital to build around our main star).

There was a lot of pent up sexual frustration on display. He was objectifying Jen Hale among others. Was pretty gross

I like to shite on him because, well, he deserves it, but I have said it before, I genuinely think he needs to look for some professional help.

There are some underlying things clearly going on there and I wouldn't be shocked to hear of him spiraling in any number of ways that as much I dislike his online behavior and persona, I don't want to see for him or anyone close to him that loves him.

Dude's a fricking wreck.

He also basically said all of our picks are worthless and that we shouldn't have traded Jrue Holiday.
Then immediately followed that up by saying we should use those "worthless" picks to trade for SGA and Dort.

It's funny because it's like the opposite of what some of his own colleagues have said.

Basically that if you think of the perfect compliment to someone like Zion, Ingram is pretty much it.

That if you had better-respected shooters, and as they build chemistry, a Zion pick and roll with Ingram would basically be unguardable. Because if you sag off Ingram to protect Zion from driving, Ingram can pull up and hit a three, or his mid-range is like a layup. If you sag off the theoretical shooters we add, they can just bury you. And if you play it straight up and Zion has a smaller defender off the switch, he's just gonna abuse that guy all night or blow past your big.

Even mentioned how the numbers don't really support that Zion cant be efficient next to Adams and Adams is a top 3 offensive rebounder so you run that risk there as well(though they said in theory you would still probably want a stretch five like a younger Ibaka, Turner, or Lopez to create the perfect unit).

I’d classify it as more bizarre than bad.

He hasn’t deleted any of them.
Here’s the Jen Hale tweet
quote:

I'm not digging Jen Hale's extensions, but I'd still smash. She reminds me of a hot chipmunk from a Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers episode

Another random one
quote:

I will never forget my college roommate Kevin telling me, in pain staking detail about how he had to lift up a fat girls rolls to be able to finger her. Her name was Wendy, and he said he had to lift the fat with one hand and finger with the other You're welcome

Mason is kind of a pussy, so no surprise that he blocked him.

Idk, that's pretty bad. Cringe worthy.

Its a little different when it's anonymous posting in the OT. people post those things because it's anonymous.

I unequivocally denounce the recent filth that has come from his Twitter account & won't be interacting with him ever again. This has been a long time coming, but tonight was just awful. I'm not sure if there's something going on with him that I don't know about, and if there is then I hope he's okay, but what I saw tonight was something I never want to be associated with."

I guess a lot of people that “know” him saw the tweets, but does he still really interact with anyone that saw it and would be offended? It’s not like he’s a journalist covering the team.

Twitter is for jokes, now I didn’t think any of his jokes/anecdotes were particularly funny that night but they don’t really lower my opinion of him. He’s said ridiculous shite for a while now.

How much self importance do you have to have to “denounce” someone on Twitter? That’s hilarious.

Also, if you have to “denounce” that stuff in the first place, like it’s any question you stood for that in the first place, then that sounds like you have problems. It’s one of those things that’s best left unsaid. You shouldn’t say “I’m not a racist” or yada yada, that’s stuff that should be understood.

What the frick is this guys vendetta against New Orleans for? He is completely unable to see past your record in the short term. He and his minions (KOC) crucified us for the dell demps era for mortgaging the future, and now we stockpile picks and he is already saying 2-3 years ahead of time that the picks aren’t worth anything????

The greatest irony of all came when he compared our picks to those of OKC. He was salivating over the Houston pick they have, while totally ignoring the fact that the only reason that pick is any good is because harden wanted out......giannis lebron or AD could do the exact same thing

I like Simmons and think he’s entertaining but he and his staff have it out for Nola. Idk if he got dumped by some girl from uptown or something but it is fricking bizarre
