re: A lot of Pelicans talk on Bill Simmons pod

well, it was true that he was saying you’d think Bledsoe and Lonzo were having great years based on their 3 pt percentage. But when you look at the shots, they are shooting a vast majority of those attempts as what would be considered wide open, which isn’t that incredible of a %.

Simmons doesn’t love BI/Zion combo long term as he sees them both as 4’s. Says BI will eventually get traded. Said a Harden type player would be incredible with Zion. Mentioned how he thinks zion is less explosive than at duke and doesn’t play with same passion and love as then. thinks maybe he’s still progressing back from the injury and needs to lost 15 lbs. He and the guest basically said the idea of Zion being a plus defender as originally projected, doesn’t seem likely.

Did say there are only 4 bullies in the NBA on offense - Lebron, Giannis. Durant, and Zion. Mentioned how Lonzo is giving it to Zion earlier on pick and roll since teams basically go into a panic when zion catches it and already has momentum.

Simmons is to writing and podcasting what Barkley is to tv NBA analyst. Both guys got popular for one thing, then thought it meant people actually looked to them for intelligent sports analysis.
