More uptown carjackings. 2 yesterday at 9PM

Content Warning: The following narrative references Carjacking
DATE & TIME OF OCCURRENCE: Tuesday 2.9.21 at about 9:00 PM
LOCATION: Intersections of Pine and Cohn followed by 8100 block of Green St.
REPORTED OFFENSE: The New Orleans Police Department responded to a report of two car jackings at the above locations. No injuries were reported.
The victim of the incident at Pine and Cohn, who is a Tulane university affiliate, was exiting his parked vehicle when he was approached by two subjects, one subject produced a silver colored automatic handgun and demanded the keys to the vehicle. The second subject then entered the driver’s seat of the vehicle and then the subjects fled with the vehicle to unknown.
Minutes later, there was second carjacking reported to NOPD in the 8100 block of Green St., the victim in this incident was a non-affiliate.
SUSPECT’S DESCRIPTION: The perpetrators were described by the affiliate as the following:
Black, male, 5’10’’, masked, wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans armed with a silver and black automatic handgun
Black, male, 5’10”, Maroon hoodie

frick New Orleans. I was supposed to go get fingerprinted at a place near Mardi Gras World on Monday morning but I cancelled and paid $80 to have the cards overnighted to me, then brought them to the state police place in Baton Rouge yesterday and had them complete it for me. The more I thought about going to that area of NOLA, the more I was uncomfortable. The $80 cost was worth it to not have to go into that shithole.

Sounded like my mans stole himself a silver and black Glock 48 based on the color and they just labeled it an “automatic” because anything that isn’t a flintlock is unacceptable to people in New Orleans

I notice that too, but I almost guarantee you it was a semi (like a 9mm or 40 or something) and the liberal newspaper doesn't understand the difference. I see regular semi auto pistols referred to as "automatic" a good bit in the news or on documentaries and such every so often.
