Jmon is correct. If you’re new to cigars, a good, airtight Tupperware container or jar is what you need. Get a few boveda packs when you purchase your cigars to store. It really is that simple. As you refine your cigar smoking, refine your cigar storage, too. A lot of the wood humidors you find out there are crap. Spend your money on the cigars for now.

How many sticks are you keeping on hand? Could always go the tupperware route or mason jar and a boveda pack to start out while you're testing out different cigars.

Very small amount. Maybe 10 would be the plan?

As the other poster said, spend your money on cigars right now and determine how many you will "keep on hand" at any given time. Once you settle in, you can find or build a humidor that fits your needs. Here is my current storage (Wineador DIY - holds in excess of 125 cigars) andthe humidor I used to use sitting on top (held approx 50 cigars, MAX).

You can get by with a boveda and some Tupperware with thar amount. There are also some smaller travel humidors you can get too. If you have a B&M shop close to you thay may be able to set up a humidor for you.

Picked up a new Avo and it's not to bad. Also, Midwinter Dram from High West is absolutely amazing.

These are my new obsession. It’s grown a huge underground cult following.

I’ve let this cheap box of Mark Twain cigars sit for 2.5 years now in my humidor and they’ve ended up being a tasty, affordable, everyday smoke.

Still have about 3 pours left from an Act 4 Scene 5 bottle. My favorite. Picked up Act 10 Scene 3 for $199 from the local store. Such a steal.

It cooled of just enough with some help from a fan to get out and smoke a new stick. I have a friend that swears by these, and so far not a bad one. A little Buffalo Trace on the rocks also helps beat the heat.

I have found the Alec Bradley Black Market Estelli to be a fine cigar for around $5 a stick, when on sale. After sampling their various sizes, I have settled on the robusto to be my preferred. Excellent draw, construction, burn and taste. Other premiums (like Padron or AF) are better, but this is a good smoke for the price.

Chilling with a Gurkha (yes I know) Symphony that’s been lying around in my humidor since 2018. Had to relight it twice because of tunneling (probably my fault). One dimensional as hell but great smoke output and smooth creamy smoke.

I wandered onto CBid recently for the first time and got a haul of 50 cigars and some pipe tobaccos coming on Sunday. Hopefully I have room for all of that. That’s coming off of the 5 pack fever sale Thompson Cigar had going on where I grabbed 25 sticks. Good to have some Ave Marias back on hand. Looking forward to trying the Macanudo Inspirado line
