I’ve got a few I guess I can contribute:
-When my buddy made an announcement at his wedding that his trashy wife who we all despise and loves to suck the enjoyment out of every situation humanly possible was pregnant
-A couple nights in college when I took Xanax before a night out was always a surprise what I woke up to the next day
-When I got in a bad motorcycle wreck in my early 20s and woke up in the hospital with a Nurse telling me they had to operate on my balls due to torsion from the accident. Surprised and freaked me the absolute frick out before I learned that they were able to save both my “boys”

7 am this morning.
I had just logged on to work and got a message from a guy higher up in the company. He's VP level. We've worked in general circles but I've never had a chance to really show him what I'm capable of or how I operate.
He's leaving the company, has enough money to take a couple of years off and decide what he wants to do next.
Anyway, he messaged me saying he wanted to tell me how highly he thought of my leadership skills and professionalism. He said he always strived to be more like me.
You could have knocked me over with a feather. I never thought this guy gave me a second thought.
It really hit home how much you never know how you impact others, or how things you say and do can ripple forward.

When ex-wife walked in one day and said, "I want a divorce, and better if you leave now!" I tried to talk, no go, drank till I fell asleep in recliner.
