I see the moon seemingly hanging still in the sky, with no props and no strings attached. It's just occupying space, like a golf ball in a bucket of water, except there is no bucket and there is no water.

When in reality, the moon is a 74 million million million pound rock that is flying at 2200+ mph to complete the 1.2 million mile orbit distance around the earth so I can see it in the sky again tomorrow night.

Fascinating.

What I like about it is that's tricky to predict without modern tech or training.
Where, when, what shape will it rise in? If at all tonight.

Not entirely, there are a few cheese byproducts and preservatives.

Um. No. First off to do that move it’ll have to do 64k mph. But it’s not. It’s taking its time and spending a month going around the earth.

I assume you realize the earth spins, and that’s what sends the moon back to where it was 24 hours prior.

Yep. And even so it's still one of the least fascinating things about space.

ETA: Everything about space is so awesome.
