I get it through a friend that has both on premise and package licenses. He came to me with idea years ago.

He quit the package game though mostly to focus on his on premise businesses

I felt the ryes were just pretty good. The martins pick last year was much better.

The bourbon are great though.

I think the 117 proof is the best of the lot.

I might end up in the same situation...

Are the proofs the same on the 2 ryes? I know the bourbons are 117 and 119. I have the 117 and really enjoy it.

ETA: I now see you answered the question with pics

I really enjoyed the Bourbon Fest rye I tried, I don't remember which one it was though.

I am hit and miss with rye. Some I really enjoy while most have too much licorice for me. I hate licorice. Are these heavy on that or more baking spice forward?

Do you notice much of a difference from their standard releases? I like finding barrel picks, but sometimes I don't notice enough difference to justify the premium price.

I haven't tried their standard release, but isn't it 100 proof? 17-19 more proof, and I don't think it was a big mark up from their standard (I paid $55).

That's a great point. Yeah they are 100, so this makes a big difference.

Question for the group, if you were in the market for a sentimentally-dated bottle of regular Blanton's and found one that is approaching 30 years old (bottled in '91, still sealed), what kind of price range would you expect?

It's great. If you disagree, I'll take what is left off of your hands.
The EC A121 will be easier to get. It's awesome as well. Those are my two favorites of the year so far.
