It’s very off profile than a “typical” bourbon. Sweet, butterscotch, it’s also got some “brightness” that I typically find in ryes (which doesn’t really make sense if you look at the mashbill), but I think it’s the youth coming through.
It’s interesting, but when I’m done with this one, I don’t know if I’m going to run out and buy another. This is just the neck pour, so I’ll leave that decision until later.
ETA: if you’re in Lafayette I don’t mind getting a sample to you, so that you can determine if you like it or not.
