Some nice pick ups this week. The Blue Note from Piggly Wiggly is amazing. TheOwl is also pretty damn good. My brother got it as a gift from one of his customers and brought it to the family Xmas party. He poured nearly half of it making old fashions. I talked him into leaving me the rest of it.

Curious to get the board’s opinion of uncle nearest 1856. I bought a bottle and really like it.

Never opened.

FPD:

Finally winding down the move into the new house. It's been brutal in this heat. 1 more trip to get small knick knacks and my tools and we're done tomorrow.

I’ve never had Old Elk. The other day I was discussing an elk hunting trip with a buddy of mine in September. When I went to the store I bought it. If you like a rich, flavorful bourbon try this. Caramel char barrel taste.

I’ve drank damn near every bourbon around, from bery good to not so good, to my current everyday pour Old Forester. A couple days ago I bought a weekday bottle of Buffalo Trace and I’ve had heartburn the last 2 nights and I very rarely ever get heart burn. Anybody else notice this with Buffalo Trace? Could be a coincidence….

Any help in valuing this? I bought it today for $10. It is unopened with maybe 10% loss

Edit: someone on the OT found one that sold for nearly $1600.

I am sipping on the new Travellers whiskey from Buffalo Trace and Chris Stapleton.

I really enjoy it for only $40. They are being released this week.

Tried Lindores Abbey Spanish Red Wine Cask while I was in Scotland. Can’t seem to get it here in the states. What’s a comparible? It’s a lowland, without much peat.
