Farmhouse sinks

Wife ordered cabinets yesterday and wants a farmhouse sink but neither of us have any idea of what brand to buy. My budget is $700 and I’m not seeing good reviews on any off of the Lowe’s site. This is our first ever rebuild of a house (Laura) so any help is appreciated.

We have a ruvati 33” sitting in our new build waiting on cabinets to be installed. It looks good that’s all I can tell you right now.

We bought this one. Love it.

Sounds like we’re in a dead heat on respective rebuilds. Cabinets ordered earlier this week, been looking at farmhouse sinks.
Can I ask why Lowe’s? Home Depot site looked to have quite a variety and I found Home Depot less expensive than Lowe’s in renovating my house myself pre-Laura.
Overstock and Wayfair periodically have decent options pop up, may want to give them a gander.
Glad your rebuild is moving, but still hope mine’s done before yours.

We have one, brand name is Rohl - It is a very nice looking sink. Was there when I bought the house, so not sure how much real cost is, but look and quality is superb.

HD would not allow you to see any reviews of the sinks they have online. Wife is/can be a PIA with these things so i am not giving any comments. I want the decision to be all hers so i can fish in peace and quiet.
Will let her know about overstock and wayfair, thanks.
Have the border patrol working now, paying a draw today, waiting for another border patrol carpenter to do crown/base and 1st team back to paint.
After two months of zero movement and a cranky wife it's refreshing to see progress.
Let me know if you need any subs; name@yahoo.com

Rohl
Rohl makes some really nice sinks. We went with a 31" Franke fireclay double bowl farmhouse sink (33" cabinet base). I just looked up the model number and see it's for sale on Amazon for a better price than we paid a couple of years ago and fits your budget.
We've been really happy with it.
One note is that the sink does not come with bottom grids. You have to buy those separately. The ones from Franke are REALLY nice but also not cheap. You're looking at nearly another $300 for the grids.

You ordered cabinets without the farmhouse sink selected? Is the cabinet maker waiting for the dimensions to finalize? A farmhouse sink is built into the cabinets, so needs to make sure it fits.
Look at a plumbing supply place, not a big box store. There’s a few Baton Rouge but not sure what’s in your area. They can get you all the different options and will have some on display. A very important feature for my wife was a very deep basin, so we looked through a few before we found one that was deeper.

Go to LCR plumbing on Ryan street, or Coburns if they are not destroyed. You will get to see a bunch of them and ask questions that will be answered.

I added a sink by this brand in reno of prior house. It was a beautiful sink and was durable, other than it would scratch a tad inside and needed a scrubbing once a month or so to remove stains. It got lots of compliments, however. I would buy another.

Appreciate it, but I’ve got a full service contractor. Redoing the house once was enough for me.

We also bought a Ruvati. Seems fine so far. We really like the drying rack and colander that fits inside and is included.

I bought a Kohler single basin and we love it. Has the racks that go in the bottom and it’s plenty big. Can’t remember what size but it’s not small.

We bought ours at LCR. Sounds like you’re near LC so go to LCR on Ryan street. I think ours was under $500 and it’s very nice. Bought the grid separately.

Any of your local plumbing warehouses should have multiple to chose from at better prices than the big box stores.

Ok, have never dealt with the supply houses for more than replacement parts and found them high. She’s making a trip to lcr Monday.

She ordered this sink off amazon, delivery today. LCR wanted three times what this one costs so i guess we will see.

Welp it didn’t work out like she had hoped. Her farmhouse sink was in pieces when opened and now “I” have to make it right with Amazon. Any suggestions how to make the process go smoover?

Amazon
If actually fulfilled by Amazon, just call them and tell them what happened. Their customer service is top notch, shouldn’t be an issue.
