I just attempted to place an order on ETrade at the ask price. I got a notice that my trade was rejected - reason given was: "The order was rejected by the market maker."

In on AG and SLV.

I was, too. Just sold all of my SLV and moved it to AG.

That’s some bullshite... Wall Street doesn’t want precious metal prices going crazy so I wouldn’t be surprised if they try to put a stop to this one somehow

AG is definitely getting the love on the reddit thread and seems to be the target

Citadel Derivatives Group is the moneymaker for AG. They are the fund that bailed out Melvin yesterday with $2 billion of the $2.75 billion.

I've never traded commodities before. So is this a good thing - "This is a physical asset so we can't sell more than actually exists." Or market makers deciding they don't want to let people buy at what the market says the price is?

I bought about an hour ago on TDA and it went through. I've tried 3 times now on ETrade and they are all getting rejected.

My last order was over the ask price and is still sitting there over the current ask price - not executing and not canceling. Just sitting there open.

So what you're saying is, I should go ahead and cancel my retirement plans?

You must be buying the trust. That is true. I do not think it’s true for AG, which is why it’s moving. Up 20% now.

They are a huge market maker. I don’t know that they are short the stock.

I'm buying AG.

I bought it on TD Ameritrade but it's not going through on ETrade. It's fine, I don't really care about picking up the shares on both platforms. But it seems shady as hell that they are rejecting orders that are at or above ask price.

Could this possibly move spot price?

There’s a lot of physical that I’d like to move at a YOLO price. Lol

Silver is a very volatile market, you need a plan and strong hands. The reddit poster suggested AG and everyone jumped, To truly cause a short squeeze on Silver, you will need to get long exposure to physical. Buy call options on SLV, Futures or go buy up your bullion dealers supply so he needs more. It will be a rocky road but it really is priced to pop. If it falls, it will rebound in short order, they're not turning the money printer off. The effect in the price of the commodity will not move like a 2 billion dollar market cap stock at first but slowly gain steam as people buy up physical.
