BREAKING: Bill is officially filed - Texas Nationalist Movement
Our time is now. Texas independence can be won. We need you to help make it happen.
Today, Tuesday, January 26th, is a day that will go down in history. It's the day State Representative Kyle Biedermann (Fredericksburg) formally filed the Texas Independence Referendum Act--legislation that will give the people of Texas a chance to vote on Texas becoming an independent, self-governing nation.
The “Let Texas Vote” act will give Texans an opportunity to head to the polls in November of 2021 and start the process of reasserting our status as an independent nation. If the people vote in favor, the bill provides for the establishment of a committee to begin working on a transitional plan which would address all of the issues related to decoupling from the federal government.
This bill simply puts up the question to the people of Texas. Even if legislators don’t personally support TEXIT, at a minimum they should support your right to publicly debate and vote on the issue. Your representatives either believe that you are smart and responsible enough to make this decision, or they believe that they know what’s best for you--regardless of what you think.
There is no middle ground.
We need you to call your State Representative and let him/her know that you are a constituent and you expect them to sign on to HB 1359 as a co-author. Let them know that this will be a voting issue for you in the 2022 election.
We are planning major actions in support of this legislation and you are at risk of missing your opportunity to be a part of them.
Here's what we need you to do:
* Go to https://tnm.me/vote and complete your information. When you do, we'll match you to your State Representative and State Senator so that we can give you their specific contact information.
* Share the link with as many TEXIT supporters as you can. We need to be able to communicate and coordinate with as many people as possible for us to have a greater chance of getting this bill to the floor and passed.
* Once you complete your profile at the link above, we'll create a website account for you on TNM.ME so that you'll also be able to connect with other TEXIT supporters in your area.
* Look for an email from the TNM first thing in the morning.

If they pull it off, they need to make sure they get control of some nuclear weapons. Maybe, a trident sub or two to keep the wacko Democrats from going to war with them.
They need a deterrence to preserve peace.

Serious question: Has it been addressed in this movement what to do with people who would immediately want to join/move to Texas?

I asked this question in another TEXIT thread. The first thing a new Republic of Texas would do is establish border security and a immigration policy. How would they handle millions upon millions of Americans flooding into Texas? Would we all be welcomed?

Casually.
The longterm plan is to utilize a skilled immigration points system, similar to Australia's (Australian Government Department of Home Affairs).
As for what exactly that will look like the day after Texas achieves independence ... I don't have that answer. I doubt it's been fully flushed out.

Not for me either.
But I've been on all morning, and it's been fine.
Highly likely that traffic caused it to come to a screeching halt, as of the official filing of the bill.
Will probably be running on and off all day.
ETA: It's back up now, but running S L O W L Y.

As always, Congress, SCOTUS, and the entire executive branch applaud this cute effort and offer a pat on the head with a slight chuckle.

I joke all the time ....."My passport is my birth certificate" Laredo, Texas ....
If Texas says we're out, look for a lot of red states to follow.

I own property in TX. How long before this vote would I need to set up a trailer on it so I can register?
