The reason Freeman didn’t come here is because he wanted to go to Notre Dame over LSU. Period. He interviewed first there to get an offer, then interviewed here to get leverage to increase that offer. And it worked. The mental gymnastics you guys spew out to avoid having to admit someone wanted someone else more is childish.

He's not here because he didn't want to be here. It has nothing to do with latitude or because he loves his family more than another candidate would have. Think about how absurd those two excuses are.

Uhm...Marcus Freeman wanted to be at LSU. Which is why he initially accepted the job.

Then when he got home, he was overruled by his better half because she said Baton Rouge was too far away from home. As his wife grew up right near the Notre Dame campus. In fact, her parents still lives there to this day.

Nonetheless, Marcus Freeman wanted the LSU job and would have taken the LSU job until he was over ruled by his wife and I can't say that I blame him. Since a happy wife equals a happy life.

Literally every beat writer and news outlet reported he accepted the LSU offer and then Reconsidered due to distance from home.

The amount of mental gymnastics some people go through to paint everything in the most negative light possible is childish.
