Missouri: sister avenges brother's murder 3 days later

2016 two young boys were shot dead while asleep inside their home. No arrests were made.
Three days ago a 16 year old was shot dead. Three days later, his 21 year old sister found the alleged shooter, and after an 'exchange' of bullets, 23 in all, she lived and he didn't.

She has been charged with 2nd degree murder.
Is this what community policing will lead to? Or will jury nullification kick in?
