So why wouldn’t he pardon himself and his kids? It’s obvious the Dims will be coming after them.

Paul Erickson – President Trump has issued a full pardon to Paul Erikson. This pardon is supported by Kellyanne Conway. Mr. Erickson’s conviction was based off the Russian collusion hoax. After finding no grounds to charge him with any crimes with respect to connections with Russia, he was charged with a minor financial crime. Although the Department of Justice sought a lesser sentence, Mr. Erickson was sentenced to 7 years’ imprisonment—nearly double the Department of Justice’s recommended maximum sentence. This pardon helps right the wrongs of what has been revealed to be perhaps the greatest witch hunt in American History.

He was no doubt selling pardons, this list makes that really clear. Lil Wayne and Kodak could afford it, Snowden and Assange couldn't.

Bannon stole a million bucks from a PAC and hasn't even had a trial yet. Wonder what would happen if a preemptive pardon were challenged and litigated in court.

Arguendo Bannon committed the crimes he has been accused of outside of federal crimes he almost certainly committed state crimes in possibly multiple jurisdictions and while almost never pursued after post-conviction pardons it might be a completely different story for Bannon.

Nah.

Vast majority of these people on this list are poor people, often black, in jail for drug stuff.

His biggest potential legal woes seem to be from the NY AG and the Manhatten DA.

It is also of note SCOTUS in Burdick v US has held accepting a pardon is an admission of guilt in a similar way that accepting a plea is though you don't have to make an allocation. Their specific words were "an imputation of guilt, acceptance a confession of it".

Biden isn't gonna go after Trump or his kids, that would cause a shite storm. The threat Trump and his family faces is from the state of NY, as you said. A pardon would be meaningless for state charges.

If Washington DC Democrats allow NY AG and Manhattan DA to go after a former GOP President, then democrats should expect the same from red states going after democrat Presidents.

This is one genie they want to keep in the bottle.

Won't really matter if the Democrat didn't live in the red state for 40 plus years like Trump lived in NY.

It's a compilation of the following:

- unfair drug offenses
- Kushner's social circle
- People involved in Trump administration hijinks
- people related to people with deep pockets
- former megadonors with support from a lot of politicians
- people with deep pockets

They have let a lot of genies out of bottles in the last 20 or so years and neither side seems to GAF about it.

I am not sure how much control DC has over James and Vance given the way they have dug in.

That whole Capital nonsense got him. They stuck that there, used it as a pinpoint to literally delete the election, and now are hanging who knows what over his head. He's being a pussy right now but I also can't blame him
