I had a ruger 22/45 for a while and it digested all of the cheap shite I fed it. Extremely accurate to boot.

Another vote for the buck mark,,20 plus years and it just eats every thing you feed it. But everyone I know who has a ruger and when I have shot them seem to do the same.

I have a S&W .22 compact and have our about 1k rounds through it without a jam. Shoot the cheapest ammo I can find. The gun is a near copy of the Shield.

Was there a break in period, where you had to run hotter loads before turning to the cheap stuff?

Walther PPQ M2 22. Mine will shoot anything and its a great suppressor host if you get the threaded barrel version.
