Looks like (so far) I may have had pretty good timing.

Yea once again I got cold feet at the bottom and didn't add. I thinking of playing this one safe and selling some if we get back up close to where it was.

Wanted to buy some yesterday afternoon but out of money. Used every dollar in my account buying SLI swing shares. Maybe I can get in when I start cashing

2500 @4.98

Doubt I'm a long term holder, but I'm flexible.

The 2nd well report needs to drop, this is getting annoying as hell, ruined the momentum this stock had.

@6.28 now, I'm setting limit sell at $6 for guaranteed 20% return, but hopefully it keeps running.

From the seismic I assume? Have they even completed ground ops and data collections for seismic?

Sentiment still positive? It’s numbing trying to find any legitimate research on RECAF. I’m in at roughly 2500 shares at a cost basis $6.40.

This thing is really starting to hurt, any word on what the holdup is for the 2nd well report? The first one came out fairly quickly iirc.

Any new word on this one, I have been looking for news and all I see is "Trap". Does anyone with knowledge know what is going on?

Nothing new as far as I've seen. It's always been a late year play for me once the seismic activity is finished they should have more definitive results on what's beneath.

I still feel they've found something down there, just don't know how much. Could be some oil, or could be a ton of oil. Stay strong and hold through October and see what happens. Just don't bet the farm unless you're willing to lose it.....

Sept 22nd and 23rd is the Africa E&P conference held in London. All the major players will be there. Recaf is a sponsor and also going to be a participant in the conference.

LINK

Hopefully some news released before, during, or shortly after would be nice. I think any and all publicity would be beneficial to recaf and Hopefully they spark the interest of some of the big boys (if indeed they have found oil).

Namcor is also participating in this conference.

Edit: Scot Evans, Recon's CEO, is a confirmed speaker as well.

ReconAfrica sheds light on geology amid partnering plans

Reconnaissance Energy Africa is disclosing more information on its efforts, even while short sellers maintain criticism of its plans.

Reconnaissance Energy Africa is disclosing more information on its efforts, even while short sellers maintain criticism of its plans.

ReconAfrica CEO Scot Evans was hosted at a Goldman Sachs event this week, suggesting the company was in talks with potential partners. Someone leaked a recording of the talk.

ReconAfrica is “quite actively” looking at ways to graduate to a more senior exchange, he said. He declined to give specifics about which exchange it might be considering.

Evans confirmed ReconAfrica was also considering monetisation plans for oil from potential production. Initially, the plan would likely involve trucking crude around 100 km to a rail terminal. It would then be carried by rail to the deepwater port at Walvis Bay.

The CEO also said he was “really excited” about the prospect for gas-to-power.

Seismic acquisition is under way in Namibia. When this is complete, at the end of the year, the company will “start to look at the process of partnering. We’re building a team at ReconAfrica that can go from exploration to development planning to production. It’s a very large area … we’ve identified five sub-basins.”

Two companies have contacted ReconAfrica to express interest in the opportunity so far, he said.

This would be my fourth OTC stock to move to a major exchange in the last few months. Saw big returns on the last 3 when they uplisted. Think I’m going to average down a good bit on RECAF Monday. I won’t be surprised if good news and uplisting happens in the near future

Fingers crossed that happens!

I'm definitely interested in what they have to say and present in the upcoming conference.

A quick little update on recaf....

Africa oil week is coming up November 8-11.

Big time players are supporting this...Chevron, Shell, etc.

150+ speakers during it including Recaf's CEO, Scot Evans.

LINK

"In line with the theme, the event will stimulate upstream transactions, drive investments into African energy projects, and facilitate new partnerships and networking opportunities for the African upstream. Alongside a week full of networking functions, roundtables and in-person meetings, 2021 sees the inclusion of the revived "Africa Independents Forum" a platform designed to showcase the most exciting farm-out, JV and asset opportunities on the continent. Content briefings dedicated to energy financing will help delegates capitalise on business and project opportunities presented by the energy transition."

I don't really think anything Earth shattering will happen with this for recaf other than publicity (2D seismic was almost done a few weeks ago and if it is finished and they have definitive results maybe they could release it but I kinda doubt that), but the fact that the enviro greenies are starting to ramp up their campaigns to squash this kind if makes me think something big is actually in that basin.

Love Leo the actor, but frick him in the real world.

Do your own DD, but in my unprofessional opinion I think this company and stock are for real.

ETA: I love how the hit piece doesn't even mention the solar power they are providing as well as all the water wells they have drilled already and have been permitted to drill in the future to help the local population, not to mention the local jobs they are creating for the people of Namibia.

"In addition to the four solar powered community water wells currently in operation, ReconAfrica, working with local and state water authorities, has permitted another 20 community water wells. The Company has now hired two Namibian contractors, Aqua Drilling to conduct drilling operations and Leben Technical Services to install all solar powered equipment. It is expected both contractors will commence operations in early September on the first 8 of 20 wells where four wells are scheduled to be drilled in Kavango East and four wells in Kavango West.

ReconAfrica continues its commitment to local hiring with over 300 Namibian residents now employed, has a strong commitment to gender diversity and continues to increase the number of women hired locally."
