Mail in ballot helped with that because they can just drop it off or some states you can just put in the mail box in special evenlopes for return. So this you had record turnouts.

...or the "historic" church down on the other side of the tracks traded a ballot for a BBQ plate, or a toy, or an envelope of cash. They were even nice enough to help people fill them in

Only 56% of eligible voters in the US vote.

In 2008, a historic election, 62% of the voter eligible population voted. Most presidential elections since 2000, around 60% of the VEP voted.

This year, 68% of the VEP voted.

What was done to make it easier to vote?

Several major states sent out mail ballots en masse, and/or accepted said ballots with less stringent controls than previous elections. I thought said measures were common knowledge?

Why is it so hard to believe that a president who never polled above 50% lost an election?

It’s not hard to believe he could lose.

It’s hard to believe we registered 60M voters in 2 years.

Not really. It sounds like you don’t know what a conservative is.

If you’d said “I didn’t vote because I’m a conservative,” I would’ve believed you. I didn’t vote in 2016 because I’m a conservative.

People really really wanted Trump out. It didn't matter who they ran. Trump didn't try to go outside his base.

Hillary got more votes than Trump.
Biden got more votes than Trump too.

You really think so? It's that hard? Who do you think the Bushs' Colin Powell, Ann Coulter, Mitt Romney, McCains, voted for. Some of these people were the last major candidates for presidency if not actually holding the office. You don't think they had people like-minded that despised Trump and voted against him?

Look at it this way: Pretty much all Democrats hated Trump. A good number of Conservatives did too. There is some unbalance there that will cause an election loss easy.

Screaming fraud though seems to be the easy way of dealing with it. Coping. Hillary and Barack congratulated Trump the NEXT DAY on his win. He was welcomed and given grade-A treatment the weeks and days of by the Obama's.
Look what the b**** has done now that roles are reversed. You guys have been Pied-Pipered' and don't realize it

For the 1000s time: NO

No one thinks this is suspicious.

No one think the fact that he didn’t have enormous rallies during a pandemic means anything

No one thinks he’s a worse candidate than Hillary.

And everyone else in the world realizes that Trump motivated millions to get out and vote.

You and everyone, living and dead, that voted for him on November 3 and 4....and 5...are either willfully ignoring his current (2 years) behavior or not paying any attention to it at all. It does not matter which one of those two you are.

But I don’t know why it’s difficult to believe that Biden got more votes than Obama.....there were more voters this election. Both candidates got far more votes than previous cycles. Turnout was way up.

^ This.

2008 Obama 69.5M McCain 59.9M
2012 Obama 65.9M Romney 60.9M
2016 Clinton 65.8M Trump 62.9M
2020 Biden 81.2M Trump 74.2M

It's not hard to believe Biden got 12 million more votes than the previous high mark for liberal votes. Trump also got 12 million more votes than the previous high mark for conservative votes.

Of all those people, only one would self-identify as a conservative. And she was just having a snit fit.

I think everyone realizes the turnout was more of a vote against Trump than for Biden. Also, most liberals believe Covid is real and didn’t expect a normal campaign.

here is plenty to talk about with states not following their election laws, but I don’t think the mere number of votes is indicative of fraud or suspicious. Everything done in 2020 made it easier to vote....why wouldn’t there be more votes?

Look at Fulton County Georgia. Demographics have not changed a lot there in the last 30 years. The percent of the total population of Fulton Co that votes has historically been around 38-40%. Every year it is at 38-40%. The one anomaly was 2008 when 44% of the population voted because of the historic black turn out for Obama.

In the 2020 election, 48% of the population of Fulton Co Georgia voted. That is a huge number and it blows away the former high water mark of 44% for 2008. Following GA politics like I do I don't believe it.

You say you don't find the higher turnout "suspicious" or evidence of "fraud" well I do.

So when we are back to ~135M voters in 2024, it will be because Trump isn’t on the ballot.

Not really. Why do you think the Democrats lost so many House seats? There were just more overall that voted against Trump and weighed the lesser of the two evils (in their minds)
