The dems want to raise min wage to 15 bucks that the dems have been paying since Johnson presidency(?) Food stamps(snap), free medical, low income housing(projects), then Obama added to the code to add ,free cell phones, internet etc etc....

Here is the question....

If the dems raise the mw to 15 bucks...that about 29k a yr on a 40 hour work week times 12 months....would this figure bring out every person who works for this amount and receives govt assistance to "NO LONGER" be eligible for get snap, medical etc....? This amount would certainly put them out of range. Aren't the dems cutting their little stash of "lazy i don't wanna work" voters balls off? Lol

In theory, yes. In actuality, no. The dems will continue to support welfare, it will be revised for adjustments

15 x 40 = $600 per week
52 weeks in a year
600 x 52 = $31,200 per year

No because many of those jobs will be lost and those that remain will require skills not found among government dependents.

Hourly wage x 2080 is how you calculate for a full time employee

If the minimum wage is raised to $15 there isn't going to be many people working 40 hours a week at that wage. It's going to be a bunch of 15 hour a week workers.

Raising the minimum wage will not only hurt businesses.. it'll hurt workers because they won't get as many hours. So the old 40 hours at their $7.25 wage might end up being the same or even MORE than their new $15 wage for only 15 hours.

Everything the left does regarding govt assistance and this min wage garbage is to expand the government dependent class, they know it’s not sustainable and they don’t care.

It’s simply another way to control the population by eventually leaving people with no where to turn for survival except for the government. Progressives are too brainwashed to see it or even attempt to understand the concept.

The cost of living would be adjusted due to the increase is cost of product. In the long run with increase in cost of goods and increase taxes to pay for government handouts there would be making the middle and lower classes the poorest they have ever been. You could raise minimum wage to $35 and hour and nothing will change. No company is going to take a loss due to wage increases. They will either cut jobs, increase cost, or close.

It literally doesn’t make any difference at all what the minimum wage is. It’s all about virtue signaling. You can not artificially give the people who are on the lowest end of the economic spectrum (the ones that actually contribute something) without there being consequences. Once these people are paid more, the costs of their goods/services will also increase. Then you will see the entire country also receive an increase in wages to compensate for the increased cost of living. In the end these people receiving $15/hr will have more money, but will have the same buying power as today. Dumbass.

There are 52 weeks in a year. Not 48. It's $31,200 per year.

MW should be raised but not to 15.00. Why so drastic? How about 10.00?

You are assuming that these folks will work for $15 an hour. I'm saying they won't and still get the same benefits they have now, if not more.

No. The resulting inflation caused by raising the minimum wage would effectively negate the raise. Therefore, the criteria for receiving the various forms of taxpayer funded assistance would be revised to make certain that those “benefiting” from the wage increase could continue receiving the assistance.

As others mentioned the number of jobs and full time positions will decrease.

The ones that want this believe in full government support either at the cost of business by basically creating a profit sharing model or as we saw over seas for years until Reagan a share the wealth model, or as more jobs move out of country and small business close the citizens will be forced to rely on the government. Doing do puts the individual at the mercy of the government.

What makes it worse is anyone that will oppose the government(left) no how the power to not only condemn those against them but the power to silence them as well as the fourth estate has become basically a para military arm of the left. The fourth estate was established or protections provided to it to keep in check the the three branches of government. The voice of the people which now has become state propaganda.
