I am here for work so was going to get another opinion since there is bound to be higher qualified Dr. here than in LA.

Thinking of going through Methodist.

Back in 93 after seeing several doctors, finally saw Dr. Jerry Bob Blacklock at Methodist. He did my back surgery. Great surgeon and I haven't really had any issues since. I believe he is still practicing at Methodist.

Neuros for backs

ETA: Today I learned neurologist also deal with spinal cord injuries.

I would 100% pick a doctor in Houston, seeing as it is one of the top medical centers on the planet.

I had a bulging disc in my lower back fixed about 15 years ago. Doctor Edward Murphy did it. He was a mechanical engineer and an officer in the army, then decided he wanted to be a neurosurgeon. So he went to med school. The guy is a badass.

The day of the operation when they wheeled me in to the OR, I said "I hope you brought your A game Doc"

He smiled and said, "son, all I have is an A game".

Immediately put me at ease.

Look him up, I've sent a bunch of folks to him.
