Are your friends still active on Facebook and Twitter?

I know Facebook has been in decline for a while, but lately it seems to have gotten even worse in my virtual circle. Twitter has definitely gone downhill in the past few weeks, but is still in less of a tail spin than Facebook.
For Facebook, I suspect that it’s because a lot of my friends have either deactivated or stayed away from the platform since the recent censorship controversy. Ultimately the news feed has gone from being half advertisements (bad enough) to almost exclusively advertisements. You don’t need to get banned or censored from social media - just having people in your social circle shy away from the platform is enough to ruin the user experience.
Twitter has had similar issues, but not as steep of a decline based on my observation. A lot of the people I follow still contribute useful or entertaining posts, but with less frequency.
Have you noticed a similar trend lately?

Everyone that I know became a Twitter quitter when Parler was shuttered.

I only check Facebook once every week or two. It seems less active, but I really only hop on there to check a couple of groups I’m in.
Twitter seems more active, but I follow a bunch of media outlets and writers and whatnot, and only a few of them are on the conservative side. My Twitter feed was moving at a lightning pace last Wednesday.

I never used them in the first place

Instagram is the only one I actually like. Facebook is a cesspool. Twitter sucks.

Just checked.
Yep. All Parler friends said good morning on FB. Couple of good pancake pics.

I never use Facebook for friends. I pretty much unfriended or muted individuals. I use it for all of the groups I follow. Camping, fixing things and selling things.

I deleted Facebook a few months ago but have wanted to for years but stayed on for some good groups for my work. I don’t have any friends so not sure about them.
Most people I know are coworkers at the fire department so really none of them ever post anything out of fear of getting in trouble or something being taken out of context. I honestly am not sure if I know anyone close who has a Twitter

I don't have Facebook but I keep Twitter for sports news and stock tips

I deleted my Twitter app when the censorship BS started. I never had a FB app on my phone, but stopped going there consistently a few weeks before. I'll still log on occasionally to see what my wife is up to on her account.

I noticed several on FB give their goodbyes saying you can find them on Parler now. Well guess what, they are all still on FB.

A society that has devolved to the point where it’s okay for grown men to use Facebook is a problem. There are certain things that are meant for women, like the big iPhones, and Facebook is one of those things.

Most of my close friends realize that nobody in real life gives a shite about their crackpot political opinions, they usually just post family, hobby, and hunting stuff. I keep a few loons on my friends list who can't help but broadcast an opinion about any and every newsmax or cnn article they come across. I keep facebook around for the food groups and such.

It does feel like this is accurate for me. Wish people would go back to posting and there could be boards to click on similar to td. Could have politics, o-t, sports, etc.
That way i could easily avoid the politics when i want to

Haven't been on them in years. I got off not for political reasons, but because I found myself checking it for no damned reason.
Now I will just search a restaurant's Facebook and see what specials they have.

Don't have, never had, will not have Twitter or any of the other insta apps. HAD Facebook, deleted account and no big loss, didn't spend much time on it anyway.

I got on Facebook when it was a startup at thefacebook.com and was only college; It was fun then. I think I quit whenever they started opening it up to the general public - around the time I left college.
