We have 2 kids in college and 2 more that will be in the next 2-3 years. I’ve recently made it very clear that any progressive/SJW friends they might have are not welcome at my house, and I will lose my fricking shite on the first one that dares to test me.

I've been a Liberal for my entire life and identity/social politics only play a small role in my decision (mid-50s btw). You may be surprised to know that these issues don't mean much to me and that I wouldn't even care if you were right. Social/identity politics are largely used to divide Americans, allowing the swamp/deep state to grow. It's not that I don't think social/identity politics are important, but just not as important as either side makes them out to be, because they're used as a tool.

While technically I'm native american you'd never know unless I told you.


But I tend to vote not really along party lines though. For example I voted all Democrat except for president last election.

Mostly I abhor social conservatism and the lunatics that come with it. Growing up in the bible belt really soured me on that whole lot of folks.

Terrible decision makers to a fault. Completely unaware of this, and some think quite the opposite. Years of bliss ignorance catches up to them and life isn’t working out like they anticipated. Not their fault so they join the party of those who also blame others for their problems.
