I’m mid 20’s looking to change careers, I’ve been working in the fitness industry for the past few years and don’t have a bachelors degree. I’m considering going to trade school and I’ve been looking into some instrument technician programs and was curious if anyone on here was in that field

Decide if you want a career or a job.
Do you want to be in same role 30 years.
Do you desire mobility?
All this should impact any decisions.

I can't comment on your specific question but trade school is a good idea that should lead you to lots o high demand / well paying job opportunities.

Sheeeeeeeeeeit! When I move out of Baltimore county to greener pastures in Pass Christian, MS I’ll be needing a campaign manager and caretaker for my Maltese pups. So, how do you feel about turning Mississippi gulf coast to Coney Island? Sounds great, yea!

Medical device techs make six figures. A good deal of travel, though.
Electricians and plumbers make good money, too. Thing is with those, you have to be on your own to make real good money and that requires having good business sense, too.
Good luck.

If you can drive a truck, you've got a job my friend.
Or he can try coding.

If you are looking to get in the plants, PSC is a good company to get your foot in the door. They are a contractor who provides all different types of services. I went the way of Loader.... did that acouple of years and got on with the plant. They like hiring guys from PSC because PSC has good safety culture and usually a good training system.

I'd suggest something focusing on a field a bit more ubiquitous than instrument technician. Something you can move anywhere you want, anytime you want, and know that there will be jobs available in your field.
Think welding, plumbing, hvac, medical, electrician, autobody, etc.
You're young and the last thing you want to do is pigeonhole yourself into a career track with limited potential and reach.
