Too bad it’s far too little, and way too late.

LINK ]Navarro: Trump ‘Itching to Defend Himself’ Against Impeachment - Epoch Times

I follow many Republicans on social media, as I’m sure most of you do as well. To a man, every single one of them (excluding Ted Cruz) has been excoriated by their constituents since the EC vote. Their subsequent responses on social media have come across as nervous and rueful. In a matter of several days, these GOP lawmakers have done a complete reversal with regard to their stances on what’s happening across the country.

In a nutshell: They’re suddenly (and finally) realizing that a storm is brewing, and they screwed up royally. It’s painfully obvious these turncoats recognize that they’ll be booted, come the next election cycles. So now they’re in damage control mode.

quote:

A host of Republican lawmakers have urged Democrats to think hard about the push, saying pursuing impeachment will further divide an already divided country.

“A presidential impeachment should not occur in the heat of the moment, but rather after great deliberation,” a group of House Republicans said in a letter on Saturday to President-elect Joe Biden. “We respectfully urge you to encourage Speaker Pelosi to set aside this partisan effort immediately.”

quote:

Navarro said that the push to impeach Trump a second time “just opened a huge door.”

“They’re overplaying their hand. They always overplay their hand. This is going to bite them you know where,” he said.

People will remember this.

Democrats are just emotional. Everything they do is based on emotion. That’s why they always overplay their hand.

I doubt it. They didn’t seem to remember the last impeachment effort a few months after it happened.

Be a great time for new blood candidates to jump in against incumbents.

That was my point; albeit your assessment was far more pithy.

Those pieces of weasel shite know their arse is toast after the stunt they pulled calling the very folks that help elect them into office domestic terrorists.

People have now seen them for what they are. They have done absolutely nothing but talk. Time for talking is over. Either do something or get the frick out of the way for someone that will.

Republican incumbents are royally fricked

some will be primaried and the others will have low voter turnout.

And it will be overt 'insurrectionist' fire brands that take their place. Stoking the fires of 'insurrection' (counter-revolution) as the Dems push radical policy. The new Right will know that the corrupt Cities are essentially powerless, and highly vulnerable to anarchy.

The Dems trashed both Rule of Law/Equal Justice (think Hillary, Comey, Meuller, et al) and the Vote. Those will be off the table and hold no restraints. The Dems will sorely regret cheating.

The republicans are spineless as much as the democrats are emotional. Not 1 ounce of testicular fortitude is left in DC.

Once again my theory is proven: Republicans are a great opposition party, but cannot govern.

It’s too late for those spineless SOB’s to save face. It’s time for new blood. I still support a new party being created. The Republican Party is over
