Leaving for Park City Wednesday

Staying until Monday. Will ski a lot and mostly have the whole trip planned out. Just wondering if anyone has any last minute must do’s while we are there?

The Olympic Training center is cool. Squatters is a good place to get breakfast.

Dude...hate to be the bearer of bad news, but, ski conditions are pretty terrible right now.
Last storm was a week or so ago and produced only about 5 inches. Storm before that was a few weeks prior.
Long story/short, much of mountain is closed due to lack of snow and lift lines long because everyone funneling to the same lifts.
Adding to length of lines is fact that only 1-2 people can take lift at a time due to covid restrictions.
All that said, it’s better than nothing. Just try not to compare to previous trips.
Town is busy too. Reservations definitely recommended.

Our mountain in Colorado is half closed due to the weak snow conditions and we still have a blast every time! If they’re just there for a fun vacation I don’t think it’s that big of a deal

I just made reservations for Riverhorse on Main for a nice dinner out for my wife and I one night. I was told it was a must do. Also heard the Riverhorse Provisions has a great breakfast.

I was there from the 26th-1st. Snow is 3 ft. below what they are used to at this time of year. Being my family was first time skiers it didn't make a difference to us though.
Really enjoyed snow tubing in Midway and snowmobiling at North Forty Escapes in Oakley. Main St pizza has a solid pizza as well.

No info to provide other than the wife and I will be there Friday-Tuesday. I’ve only been snowboarding once, so if it’s anything like the last time, look for the guy walking down the mountain carrying a snowboard with 3 broken ribs. It’s probably me so feel free to say hi!

Sleigh rides, dog sledding, snowmobile renting, bobsledding, we plan on going to the ice castles just south in Midway, Olympic park.

Headed to Park City next week. Would you recommend renting a car or Uber? I’ve never driven in snow. I know PC hasn’t received much lately and doesn’t look to be receiving much in the future. I’ll have my 3 and 7 year old so we’ll be venturing off to do other activities besides ski/snowboard.

I would definitely catch an Uber. A normal Uber costs $40-45 each way. If you try to catch one and the price is $70-80 due to surge pricing, just relax for 5-10 mins and it will come back down to $40-50.
Also, once in PC, the bus system is fantastic! And, depending on where you’re staying, many places have shuttles that can take you around. Truly think you can get by without a rental.
Although your kids might be a little young to appreciate (maybe not), one of the cool nearby attractions for teenagers is Salt Lake East High School. It was the setting for the Disney movie High School Musical. The school usually welcomes visitors and has a sheet of paper by their office directing people to areas where scenes were shot. The older kids completely can’t believe the place actually exists.
The bobsled ride at the Olympic Center is more for adults and absolutely insane. While a little expensive, its totally worth it.
Have fun. It is a great area with many attractions.
