Typical media. They have to live in the moment for excitement factor.

Lets just go head to head:

QB: Burrow over Jones
RB: Id say its a push
WR: LSU had the nfl rookie receiver record holder as its number 2 receiver
TE: Push
Offensive line: LSU has Lewis and Cushenberry starting and doing extremely well in the NFL. We will see what Bamas line is shortly

I have no clue how anyone would take this Bama teams offense over 2019 lsu

LSU's running game last year with CEH was nowhere near as good as Bama's with Harris.

Clydes averages vs SEC only (since harris didnt get cupcakes)

153 yrds per game—7.09 yards per carry—1.4 tds per game

Harris vs SEC

133 yards per game—5.9 yrds per carry—2.2 tds/game

People somehow forgot how dominating Clyde was last year

Edwards Helaire was better than Harris in passing game

I still wish we could have seen this Bama team go into opponent's stadium with a full house that impacts cadence and noise that road challenges present.
But we never will.

You can arguably say LSU beat a more talented offensive Bama team last year with Tua and two first round WR talents on top of Smith and Waddle. Did Saban misidentify his talent? Jones has performed better under pressure than Tua.

The competition was a lot worse for Alabama this year then it was for LSU last year.

Also, no one really cares. Alabama has no swag and even scoring 50 a game they are one of the most boring teams. Everyone is the country loved LSU last year outside of other sec schools and even some of them did.

Najee is clearly a better RB. Clyde is more versatile. (consider how many games Najee has just taken over in his career compared to how many Clyde has)

Irrelevant argument. I think it's a push. Absurd talent for both teams.

Again, irrelevant. IDK how to grade OL play, personally, but I'd have to assume that Bama had at least equal line play to that of LSU last season.

The biggest takeaway is that Bama didn't go through the same schedule as LSU did last year. I think LSU gets the nod simply for playing (and completely dominating) so many top-10 matches.

Bama had more rush yards per game. That's about it. LSU has everything else including the eye test.

CEH averaged about a half yard more per carry than Harris. The total team average is 4.9 to 5.1 in favor of Alabama.

Harris has had more TDs, but that is offensive scheme as Alabama nearly has 1:1 TDs in the air vs on the ground. 2019 LSU scored far more of their TDs through the air.

Irrelevant?

WR 1: Jamar Chase-Put up almost identical stats as Smith this year. Push at WR 1

WR 2: Jefferson-Set the nfl rookie receiving record this year. Bama has Metchie. advantage LSU

WR 3: Marshall vs Billingsley. Extreme advantage LSU

Calling this a push is silly

You're forgetting Waddle was their #2 until he lost his leg
That puts Metchie at 3 and I'd give us the advantage with Marshall over him, but it's closer than you're giving credit for.

Im not forgetting him at all. Makes no sense to include a player that didnt really get to play
