Just watched the Texas game from last year

I had forgotten how bad we looked until about halfway through the 2nd quarter.
Things I had forgotten about:
Laynard Fornette as running back
Early in the game there were many times we didn't have 2,1, & 6 on the field. Later when we got to clicking we stopped trying the other guys as much.
Also, Patrick Queen didn't play much. Kind of crazy considering how much of a pillar he became to that defense.
Was funny listening to the announcers so surprised about JB9 and our new offense. Knowing how the year would play out, you could see what worked and what didn't early. Kudos to the coaches for sticking with what worked and not keep trying to go back to what they thought should have worked.
It's fun to win.

Who was playing linebacker instead of Queen earlier in the year? I cant remember for the life of me...
Edit: it was Michael Divinity.

Kudos to the coaches for continuing to rotate players until they saw what combo worked and never looking back. Refreshing

Divinity. He didn't quit mid season but was suspended from after the Auburn game up until the national championship.
Early in the season I thought Justin Thomas was going to be a star

The 2019 LSU team that played the last 4 games of that season was twice the team that played the first four games, IMO.

The second half of that game was when we saw the offense start to take shape. By the end of it we knew they were good but we didn’t know they were greatest of all time good. The Vandy game was when it all started to really click then the Florida game is where they showed the nation.

What a terrible and cringe filled story to make up...

When Joe Burrow stroked that td pass to Jets right before the half ended I knew we were the real deal.

"Over the middle, COMPLETE to JEFFERSON! FIRST DOWN, ON HIS WAY! and that might be the knockout punch!"
Everyone's favorite moment that night

We got the ball back with 1:13 left in first half. Normally LSU would just run a few running plays and take the half. Not this time.
3 plays later we scored with :47 left till the half. 26 seconds was all it took and only 1 of those passes we got out of bounds. You have to imagine they went in to the half and looked at that drive and knew what worked and what didn't.

I thought for sure we would run a draw on 3 & 17. Maybe a quick screen or something like that. I had no idea what our offense was going to be like.

Fun fact, per S&P+, LSU's last 4 games of 2019 is the greatest 4g stretch in CFB history. We went 4 straight games in the 99.9th percentile.
