If they were made of any sort of quality material, I would not hate them so much, but they fall apart faster than a Chinese radio.

This is my issue with them. But, to be fair, there is an overabundance of shitty belts on the market these days.

Do yourself a favor. Remove the two screws holding the leather to the buckle, put some type of two-part epoxy in there and screw it back. If you wear it more than a few times the screws are going to cut the leather and you will have to cut off a portion and put it back together later anyway.

A quality reversible belt doesn’t exist, because the very nature of how you wear it (flexing the leather one direction for a while, then the other direction) is fricking terrible for the look of the leather. Quality leather wouldn’t actually wear out, but it would still look creased. There’s a reason watch guys will tell you to never bend a new watch strap the “wrong way” in an attempt to break it in.

So, they make reversible belts out of shite leather, knowing anyone buying one will likely either 1. Barely wear it or 2. Replace it for another shitty belt in the relative near future.

I'm guilty of this on several job sites back in the day.

The leather always wears out from being bent the opposite direction for me. I went back to having separate ones.

I feel the same way about the guy that invented these reversible underwear.

ETA: It had to be a guy.
