Being Santa, do y’all write letters to your kids? Do you remember getting them?

Santa and I have a great relationship now. The kids forgot the milk and cookies and luckily daddy was up and was able to help Santa with the milk. Turned out he was still thirsty, and so Santa and daddy shared a nice scotch and a nice walnut pipe he got from a friend.
I can still remember Santa leaving letters when I was young, in a handwriting eerily similar to my mom’s.
And now, as Santa writes the letter...I get it. It clicks. And I am damn lucky, through all the trials and tribulations, to be able to experience Santa writing a letter. He truly is a magical fella.
Post your Santa letters if you want. It’s been a rough year on a lot of people, but kids deserve this. To hang on to the Magic just a little bit longer, especially when it’s taken such a toll.

I’ll put a good word in with the jolly fella for all you scoundrels and scudbuckets on the OT. You’re a rough lot, but most are good deep inside.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.

33 cheers my OT brotha. We have shared many nights on here.
To answer the question always left a empty glass of milk and one half eaten cookie with a letter thanking the kids for the milk and the delicious cookies.

Any kid who believes in Santa shouldn’t be reading about Scotch or smoking a pipe. Very odd.

Or maybe you can frick off. I like Scotch and i like my pipe and there’s nothing wrong with it.
Oh, and merry Christmas

Santa smokes a pipe. That’s the whole tongue in cheek. I read them The Night before Christmas before bed and Santa had a pipe

Nope, we contract out TulaneLSU to write our Santa letter.
It takes the kids 1hour per letter.

Dear Kids,
Here are 10 reasons why Santa thought long and hard before deciding not give you gifts this year. Sorry for your luck but maybe you can do better next year.
Best wishes

Between all the daily elf on the shelf moving and the small notes “they” write my kids, and the anual Christmas Eve making and throwing of reindeer food, my creativity doesn’t allow for a 2-page letter from Santa.
I actually have really loved the elves thing, but it does take some work. Sucks if it’s 5 a.m. and you realize you forgot to move it and have to stealthily tiptoe around your house in utter darkness, armed with only the glow of an outdated iPhone and my inner-Ebenezer, cursing the brilliant a-hole who turned this into a thing.
Merry Christmas to all.

I do the same thing, fr33. Always write a nice letter. My parents never did.
But Tolkien did and I love his Letters from Father Christmas book.

Do your kids know your handwriting?
The gift tags and the letter from Santa being in my parents’ handwriting was how I found out.

No - we don’t write letters. I remember when I was 8 - I left Santa a Hershey bar with almonds and a Coke. There was a note that said ‘Thanks’ but it was in my mom’s handwriting - I was devastated
So my husband and I came up with a plan my any years ago - the kids write a letter to Santa the day after thanksgiving. Then on Christmas Eve they leave out cookies and milk (although this year the 9 year old and I made cake balls and egg nog to leave out) Santa leaves unwrapped presents bc he does not have time to wrap
We put the kids to bed at 10 then the husband and I get up around 2 am and put out the stuff they wrote to Santa for. The wrapped stuff is from the family. It works bc the 10, 9 and 5 year old still believe. The teens help out and play along. Of course we have to eat and drink the stuff lol
